Today, we'll be reviewing part number RA769801. This is a Rampage Trail Light SuperBrite Portable LED Light Bar. The versatile light bar is going to provide an interior light that can be mounted almost anywhere. The durable hook and loop straps are going to let you secure the light to your roll bar or your roll cage, whether you in a Jeep or a UTV. It's going to attach up to bars 4 inches and width. If you actually remove the light from the straps to create a portable light source, it's really simple. You just undo the hook and loop strap on that end and then slide it out of the pocket on the other end, and it's going to become really nice and portable, a pretty small light.
It's going to feature 5 LEDs. It's also got a couple slots, here, one on each end. That way you can mount this with some hardware if you want to, but no mounting hardware is included. You're just going to get the hook and loop mounting strap which is a really great system to have. We're going to go ahead and put it back in there. I'll show you real quick, it just slides in the pocket on this side and on the opposite side, you bring the strap over.
That's just the mounting strap to mount the light. You have the other straps, here. That way you can get it attached to some different surfaces, again, up to 4 inches in width. Bring the strap over, loop it through the buckle, and then you're going to secure it back to itself. It's going to feature the long lasting, energy efficient LED, so it's going to deliver a nice, bright, white light. It's also going to feature a built in magnetic backing plate, so if you don't want to use the straps, you can just set this light up against a metal surface and it's going to hold nice and secure to that. It is battery powered, so the unit is self-contained.
That means that there's not going to be any wires. It's going to use 3 AAA batteries. Those are not included. To go over the overall dimensions of the actual light, it's going to give us an overall length, and I am measuring the mounts on the end, it's actually going to measure about 8 inches in total length. It's going to give us a depth, measuring from this point here, to this point here, of about 1 inch and 1/2, and then a thickness of about 1 inch. It's got the convenient to use on and off switch, right there, that operates the LEDs.
We can go ahead and turn off our overhead lights to give you an idea of what it looks like with the lights off. You can see the 5 LEDs providing a nice, white light. Very strong consistent signal. THE LADY THAT THEY WERE PURCHASED FOR WAS THRILLED TO GET THEM AND ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM, SHE PUT THEM ON THE BACK OF HER SCOOTER.
Easy install
Just what I wanted to add lightning to back with A Tommy Lift.
Happy with the result. Looks very well made and I hope will withstand rain and snow of upcoming winter. Plugged perfectly into the 7 to 4 Pole adapter that I ordered with it. Had to use an sharp blade to remove a lip on the bumper cover in order to make it fit and viewable under the tailgate. Decided not to tie in the backup lights, but all other features work perfectly. Packaging was a little shakey. Looks like both ends had to be retaped by UPS.
Installed the light bar on my mini camper for safety and visibility one year ago. It continues to function 100% and looks great. Very pleased with this and every purchase experience I have had with etrailer.
nice product but not sure I would buy again. The hole to lower my spare is in the way and placing the strip above it puts it out of sight. Still get light from them but just not the same. Also I didn't want to plug them into my trailer plug. I wanted them direct wired. I wouldn't do that again. None of the color coding on my Ram matched anything I could find online or in the manuals or the same colors on the light bar. Nothing against the light bar. It would look nice if I could put it where it was intended to go.
Very nice, like that it is not really visible unless lights are on.
It is possible to install without removing tailgate ! Did it today is less than an hour.
There is a slight gap visible f try om top where piece overlaps a sheetmetal seam on each side, that is not even. To be safe, I applied clear silicone sealant on topside where these gaps are obvious. Also where tailgate harness passes thru middle opening, there was a slight gap to tape, so sealant was also applied in that area to prevent water seepage behind seal of lightbar unit.
It really lights up the back of the truck, and is very unobtrusive when not activated. Love the extra safety is provides at night and in inclement weather.
I am using this as a light bar for my hitch mounted bike rack bc the bikes block the brake lights and turn signals. It is very bright and so far works well. I use Velcro straps to connect it to the last bike on the rack.
Product is easy to install. I could not use the 4 prong adaptor that came with the bar and spliced the wires into my harness. Light bar is a good add on to my cargo trailer. Have used it a night yet but the LEDS seemed bright during the day.
I marked it excellent,assuming all is OK as it usually is with your products. This is going to be a Christmas gift so will not be opened at the present time,and also is being sent to another State. I do not expect any kind of problem with the tailgate light. thank you.
I put tailgate lights on all my trucks. The last truck I switched to rampage brand and they were brighter and no lights burned out. So when I traded trucks there was no question to get the exact same one
Was easy to put on my 2013 Toyota Tundra looks good works great very good very bright do not know it under tail gate until you turn on lights stop or turn looks very nice

Light bar is well made, and was shipped in its PVC tube, so no worries of damage. Plugged right in and works great!!! Awesome customer service from e-trailer, shipped quick and let me know where my order was at every step of the process. Great all the way around.

due to spare tire cranck hole it wouldnt fit under the tailgate. i just put on the bottom of the tailgate. works fine now.
I needed to replace these pads as my old fasteners had worn out.The new ones restore a new fresh look but I had a little difficulty with one of the end fasteners on each pad continually popping back up but with a little "coaxing" took care of that.
Simple install with easy to read instructions. It took longer to clean the area on my truck then to put it in place and plug it in. The product was packed and shipped in a hard durable tube to protect the light bar.
Easy to install, added safety factor with 60 inches of LED lighting.
Installed this light on my Versahauler and it works real well. It is still functioning as it should afyer 1 year.
