Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Uni-Lite round submersible amber lens LED clearance or side marker trailer light. With this little 3/4 of an inch round waterproof LED mini trailer light, you're gonna be able to haul safer, by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel. As you can see, I already have this connected to a power source and this light functions as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. Let me go ahead and turn my lights off here in the studio so you can get a better idea just how bright this is. So I'm just gonna shine this here on my table and then let me go for a wide shot here real quick. So it is pretty bright for just being one LED here.

And zooming back in here, let me turn my studio lights back on here for you. Now this one white LED underneath this amber lens can last up to 50 times longer than your regular incandescent lights. They're more efficient, they're gonna provide brighter light with less power output and there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to worry about. Now this is a P2 rated light, meaning it produces a 45 degree angle of light to either side of its center line for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on but it can't be seen clearly from the side.

So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions then you must install two separate lights on your trailer, one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light. There is a lifetime warranty on this LED and this has a power draw at 12.8 volts. It is 0.047 amps. Now this is a two pigtail installation, so let me go ahead and pull my clips off of here real quick so I can show that to you.

And as you can see here, there's male bullet ends and these are the 0.180 male bullet ends. The overall length of the wire is about 8 inches long and this has a durable polycarbonate housing and an acrylic lens and the durable surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board is going to better withstand shock, moisture and vibration and also allows for improved heat distribution and thinner construction. The waterproof construction in this light is going to make it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. And the housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diode or the circuit board. This is a recessed mount with the included grommet and the installation requires an 11/16 of an inch hole at the desired location.
