Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
PC-Rated Lights
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Here we have Optronics Sealed 2 Inch Round Side Marker and Clearance Light with Flange Mount part number MC54RB. This lens and the housing of this light are sealed and waterproofed. The back of the light uses a plug design that is designed to use industry standard 2 prong wire harness leads. The light is covered by a 3 year warranty excluding the bulb. Next we are going to hook the light up to a power supply so you can see how it looks. We will connect our ground connection to one of the posts in the back and connect our power to the other. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Optronics Sealed 2 Inch Round Side Marker and Clearance Light with Flange Mount part number MC54RB.

Good quality product. Exactly as described. The only complaint that I have is that there are zero instructions. What instructions would one need for a light? Which wire is used for ground, black or white? This may not be important for an incandescent bulb but reverse voltage will typically blow an LED. If you do house wiring, you expect the white wire to be ground. If your background, like mine, is radio and DC circuits then the DC ground wire is typically black or green. On these lights, the ground is white.

- Red and Amber Round Clearance Lights With Flush Mounted BasedWe do have both red and amber round clearance lights with a flush-mounted base you can screw in. The 2-1/2" Optronics # MC58AB is an amber light while the # MC58RB is red; you only need to remove the lens to access the white mounting base, screw it in and then put the lens back on.
