Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
PC-Rated Lights
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Today we are going to take a look at Optronics sealed 2-1/2 inch round trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MC55RB. The lens of this light is sealed and waterproofed against the housing and inside is a heavy-duty long life bulb. This light will require a mounting grommet and plug to complete the installation. Next we are going to hook up a power supply to the light so you can see how it looks. We will connect our ground wire to one of the contact points and our power wire to the other. Next we will turn off our overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Optronics sealed 2-1/2 inch round trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MC55RB.

RECEIVED MY ORDER TODAY. MUCH QUICKER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FOR STANDARD SHIPPING. WENT TO LOCAL AUTO SUPPLY AND NO LONGER CARRY THE 2 1/2" RED MARKER LIGHT. EVEN TRIED TRUCK REPAIR PLACES AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE OR ONLY HAD 1. FOUND etrailer and had great selections. PRICES WERE 1/2 OF WHAT LOCALS WANTED, IF THEY COULD GET THEM. THEY EVEN HAD GROMMETS AND PIG TAILS FOR THEM. SHIPPING WAS A LOT LESS THAN EXPECTED. I WILL BE CHECKING etrailer BEFORE PURCHASING ANY WHERE ELSE.
