Today we're going to be taking a look at and doing a quick installation of the Tow-Rax Aluminum Storage Cabinet with two shelves, part number TWSP180CSA. Now here's what our storage cabinet looks like. You will need to drill some mounting holes in it to mount your storage cabinet to the wall. Today we're going to be installing this here in our enclosed trailer but you can install this in your shop, your garage, even to the side of your toolbox if you want. Now to help us in mounting our storage cabinet to the wall of our utility trailer, we're going to be using the Tow-Rax Aluminum-Channel Mounting Kit for Tow-Rax shelves, racks and cabinets in the fifty inch long design, part number TWSP50CKA. These are sold in pairs so you will get two channels with each kit. Now you do not have to use the mounting channels to secure your cabinet to the wall. You can secure it to the wall if there's sufficient strength to mount the cabinet.
Let's go ahead and show you some items that this can be useful for. A quart of oil, transmission fluid or any quart bottle fits nicely in either one of the shelves. You don't have to just use that for oil. You can use it for aerosol style cans, another quart bottle. You can even use it for small tubs of grease fit in there nicely too. Basically the possibilities are limitless as to what you can actually store in there.
As you can see the Tow-Rax Storage Cabinet helps keep your items nice, neat and organized. The brush aluminum finish really compliments the interior of your trailer, shop, or garage. This front lip here is about two and three-eighths inch high. By having this raised front lip here, it helps keep the items on the shelf and not on the floor of your trailer as you're going down the road. This storage cabinet can hold up to twelve single quart bottles of motor oil, transmission oil or any other quart style bottle that's similar. Now we've already gone ahead and pre-drilled some holes in our storage cabinet as well as the holes into our mounting channels.
Now to mount your storage cabinet, you will need to supply the hardware to do that. Depending on exactly where you're going to mount your storage cabinet will depend on the type of hardware that you'll use. I put this on one of the back doors of my Van. Holds plenty of items very well. It was packaged nicely, and looks very nice. (I did however have to file a few sharp edges. No big deal)
