Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this U-bolt plate for the three inch diameter round trailer axle with the one and three quarter inch wide leaf springs. Now this will fit a three inch diameter round trailer axle which are most 5,200 pound to 7,200 pound axles. This plate is used with U-bolts to secure the axle to the leaf springs which are then mounted to the trailer frame. These do attach using two half inch diameter U-bolts. Now I did wanna pop up an insert just to show you that happened as to show a tandem axle, but if you notice, it'll point out the U-bolts and the U-bolt plates, shows you where they're located on your suspension system.
Now this part here is just for the U-bolt plate but we do also sell the U-bolt separately if you need those also. Those are part number SPO1-060 and we also sell a complete kit which will be the plates with the U-bolts and that's part number APUBR-8. Both of those items we sell separately and they are listed on this product page as a related product. Typically, the U-bolts and the plates are replaced together when you replace your springs. That's because the U-bolts are generally rusted and most often need to be cut off your suspension system in order to be removed.
This plate is constructed of zinc plated steel. As we mentioned, it works with one and three quarter inch wide leaf springs. Few dimensions I want to give you on this if we measure the overall length here going this way, gonna be right at five and seven eighths inches long. The width, three and three quarter inches wide. Now the bolt holes here that the U-bolts will go through, if we measure the longest center to center distance, you can see it's gonna be right at three and five eighths inches.
And if we go this way, center to center, right at two and three eighths inches, and the diameter of these bolt holes is five eighths of an inch. But that should do it for the review on the U-bolt plate for the three inch diameter round trailer axle with the one and three quarter inch wide leaf springs.

Plate uses 1/2" diameter U-bolts (sold separately) to attach your 3" diameter trailer axle to your 1-3/4" wide leaf springs.worked great during instalation
Just what I needed for my trailer build. I like the fact they are nice and thick (about .20” thick). Remember to prime and paint so they don’t rust out.
product was right and just like factory ones on my trailer. just jack
up axle to get weight off springs and undo 4 nuts and remove old plate and install new one. fit perfect.
I could not believe a simple part like this could not be obtained at any auto parts store, but that is the case. etrailer.com came through like "nothing to it, how many would you like?" Trailer is back on the road again thanks to etrailer.com
