Today, we're going to take a look at the Dexter U-bolt Plate for the one and three-quarter inch round axle with the one and three-quarter inch wide springs. Now this U-bolt plate is for the 2,000 pound axles. This U-bolt plate acts as part of a trailer suspension system. It'll help you secure a one and three-quarter inch diameter axle to a one and three-quarter inch wide leaf spring. Now it does require two three-eighths inch diameter U-bolts, which are sold separately. The thickness on this plate is three-sixteenths of an inch.
It's a steel construction. It's very strong.A few specs on this, I want to give you some measurements. The overall width on this is going to be right at three and a quarter inches. The length is going to be right at four and 3/16 of an inch. Now, these four holes here where the U-bolts go through, the diameter on those holes are three-eighths of an inch.
The large hole in the center is right at five-eighths of an inch. The distance between those smaller holes where the U-bolts go is two and a quarter center to center, and also that way, two and a quarter inches. Designed for use with 2,000-lb, heavy-duty Dexter axles. 3/16" Thick steel plate ensures strength.Other than the parts taking a month to process, once they were gathered and packaged, they were delivered within 2 days! I replaced both sides with new 3-leaf double eye springs, 4 shackle straps, 6 shackle bolts, 2 Dexter U-bolt plates, and 2 U-bolts. They were really easy to replace and I did it quickly. Looks great, gonna take her out soon.

Worked good had to put in drill press to oval the holes a touch so the u bolts would be straight
