Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 24 and seven eighths inch long equalizer for two and a half inch wide slipper springs. And this can be used as a left hand or right hand configuration. Now this equalizer will connect your slipper springs on tandem or triple axle trailers. Basically to install this equalizer, you'll suspend the equalizer from a center hanger using a bolt through this center hole right here. Now the center hanger and the bolt is sold separately.
We do list them on this product page, as a related product. The center bolt hold diameter right here is one inch. And then what you end up doing is you'll attach your one spring with a bolt through the eye right here. This side bolthole diameter for mounting springs is three quarters of an inch. And then over here you'll slip the arched end of another spring into the equalizer.
So basically when this is all installed, this will transfer the load and sudden impacts from one axle to another, by permitting movement between the axles. This will help distribute the weight evenly. Results in a nice smooth ride for your trailer. If you notice in the center here, they do use a rubber bushing. Which is pressed into the center hole, which allows less noise and vibration in the suspension.
As we mentioned, the configurations can be used on left hand or right hand side. It is a strong steel construction which ensures durability. Again, it is designed to fit tandem or triple axle trailers with two and a half inch wide slipper springs. And again, the total overall length on this, if we put a ruler on it, is gonna be right at 24 and seven eighth inches long.
