2023 NissanAltima

I've put this hitch on a 2017 and 2023 Altima. Shipping box arrived in good shape. Improved packaging kept the hitch from bouncing around in the box. Did the install by myself, in my garage, working off the floor. Your videos showing use of a step bit to enlarge one hole on each side was not my experience. It could have been a dull bit that I borrowed from a neighbor. I used a cutoff wheel on a 4.5 inch angle grinder with good results (much faster, anyhow). BTW, I also installed the powered Curt wiring to save the small gage wires used for the car LED lights. DAN

This hitch was an easy install and works great!!

by:

Very nice receiver. I like that you don't have to put holes into the trunk of your car to install this like other receivers. Fits nicely on the 2019 and newer Nissan Altima's. Due to the car being low, the receiver is a bit low as well. Would need to make sure the bike rack has an upward rake to prevent any problems with hitting the road when going over bumps. Only problem I had was there were two scratches on the receiver. Not bad enough to send back. Cheaper to touch up the non painted surface of the scratch.

by:
2011 NissanAltima

Install was fairly straight forward. A second pair of hands was helpful when threading the nuts to the carriage bolts so that the bolts weren't accidently pushed up into the frame. The etrailer install video was good.

by:
2017 Nissan Maxima

Took a little over an hour to install with most of the time spent loosening the nuts to remove the rear mufflers. I followed the manufacturer instructions and enlarged one of the existing frame holes with a step bit, rather than drilling another access hole. It worked great.
This hitch fits perfectly on my 2017 Maxima and is tucked in just right for my bike rack.
I strongly recommend the product.

by:

Well, I ordered the same hitch from another online retailer, we know which one, and it was delivered slightly out of alignment. It would not fit my 2017 Nissan Altima. I returned it and ordered another. Same issue but this time it was even worse, mounting arms visually bent. I found this hitch on etrailer.com and was able to actually talk to a real person who listened to my saga and helped get a hitch shipped to me that was perfect. I installed it and everything worked out well. Thanks y'all!

by:

Good product ,perfect feet and very use ful.

by:
2018 NissanAltima

The product fit perfectly on my 2018 Nissan Altima SV. The only bit I can add is I used a hard plastic cup, cut into circles, with a hole drilled in the middle of each, to use as holders for the carriage bolt so it would not push into the frame when putting on the Receiver.

by:

Fast shipping and great quality product. The instructions were easy to follow, only required a little drilling and bolted right up. Works great and very happy with it. Thanks

Box came busted open with hitch sticking out of the box! Hitch is scuffed up before making it onto the car.

THE BOLTS WERE TO SHORT, ALSO i HAD TO PRY THE SIDES OF THE HITCH OUT 1 INCH TO GET IT TO FIT

I am sorry that this hitch installation was a tough one. It sounds like the side brackets of the hitch were flexed out of alignment. This can happen while in transit to us from the manufacturer. The brackets can be moved and allow the hitch to be installed. Please see the FAQ below. I know that it is a bit tricky to use the fish wire to thread the bolts and spacers through which may make it seem like the bolts are not long enough. I recommend taking a look at the video that we have on a 2020 Nissan Altmina.

by:
2013 NissanAltima

Quality product. All hardware needed was supplied and instructions were easy to understand. I use it for bike transportation which requires a strap to the front of the trunk lid. I've used it for thousands of miles without any issues. Vehicle is a 2013 Nissan Altima.

by:

Fast reliable and easy to install been fishing with my Altima 2009 because diesal in California is insanely high. Worth it! Love it will order from them for all my trailer needs! Thank you etrailer

by:

This hitch is great! I have had no issues with the operation of the hitch and use to haul camping gear and also have a hitch bike rack that carries my mountain bike.

I will say that the carriage bolts that came with the hitch are much too short, you get about 2 threads of engagement to on the nuts, I had to go buy 4 longer carriage bolts and then cut them to the length with an angle grinder.

by:

I won’t be installing this until it warms up a little bit as I will be doing it on the floor in my garage.
Arrived on time, and I thoroughly appreciate your installation videos for your products. Very clear directions and vehicle specific. Awesome website feature. Repeat customer, and I will certainly be back.

by:

I like that etrailer had a selection of hitches for me to choose from. Product came as described, instructions were complete, durability seems fine. Etrailers installation videos are spot-on, and very helpful. Phone contact with customer service was very positive, like walking into an auto parts store with friendly and helpful Parts staff. I refer people to etrailer when and where I can with no hesitation.

by:

Works great easy to install.

by:
2014 NissanAltima

Love the product. We followed the instructions and it was easy. We did add a very small procedure and that was to put one drop of superglue between the bolt and the plate because when we were putting the hitch up onto the bolt we were pushing the bolt up into the rail. 1 drop of superglue held the bolt and plate together so it had some weight dropping through the hitch. Product and instructions were great. I would also rank customer support at a 10 out of 5, better than I could imaging before I bought the product and even after I bought with so many people checking in with me making sure everything was ok.

by:

The hitch went on just fine. If I have anything negative to say about the components is that the 4 bolts that were supplied with the kit could have been 1/8-1/4" longer. When fully torqued there was still 1-1/2 threads left unused in the mounting nuts. Why not go for full thread engagement? It is only stronger & there was nothing that would've been interfered with by a slightly longer bolt protruding from the nut.

by:

Had it installed by a tire center locally in town. They did have to drill into my frame. The work, paid off. A Thule rack carrying to MTB, with no issue. nothing has come loose in the year of ownership.

Hitch Frame was easy to install hardest part of the process was getting the exhaust off the nissan altima and getting them back on. Hitch frame held up perfectly and can't wait to keep using it

by:

This was an excellent part. Easy installation. Sturdy design. Primarily used for a bike rack

by:
2020 NissanAltima

pretty easy to install. No drilling, just enlarging existing holes. They did send me the wrong instructions but i was able to find the correct ones easily . this is my 3d hitch install. I really like this company!

by:
2010 NissanAltima

The video installation instructions gave me the confidence to install the receiver myself and it went exactly as expected. Shipping was fast and the receiver appears to be of great quality. Now we can take the bikes with car and don't have to use the truck.

by:

Easy install and looks great. Used primarily for a bike rack. The only way to go.

Yes, I can! To add a hitch to your 2024 Nissan Altima, I recommend the Draw-Tite item # 24796. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Nissan with included hardware. It is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight. I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up. If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56339 and the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2013 Nissan Maxima
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11352 is an excellent option for a 2013 Nissan Maxima. It has a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening with class I rating so it will work with any bike rack that has these features and there are plenty to choose from. The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058 is our most popular option as it offers premium features at a very reasonable price. It would work wonderfully with two mountain bikes.

I would be happy to help you! The best hitch for your 2017 Subaru Legacy is going to be the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 75673. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Legacy with included hardware. This hitch has the highest capacity for both towing weight 4,000 lbs and tongue weight 600 lbs out of the available hitches for your car. When we installed the Draw-Tite # 24796 on a 2009 Nissan Maxima, we found that the hitch height and the setback was the exact same as the Curt # C11352 you referenced. This being said, the Euro-style ball mount won't work with the Draw-Tite hitch. A Class I hitch has the hitch pin hole recessed further back in the receiver than a Class II hitch would be. Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch punch or weld a stop into the receiver so a Class II rated accessory can't be slid into the receiver far...

But both hitches, including Curt hitch # 11352, are built to meet or exceed required industry strength standards.
