Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

The shipping was fast and accurate to the estimation of delivery. The hitch looks great and the installation went well according to the instructions, and I'm currently on vacation using the hitch with my bike rack on my car. I'm very pleased! Thank you!

2013 Chevrolet Volt

The hitch was shipped quickly and arrived without a scratch. The installation video from the website was spot on. Super easy installation!! I jacked up my car and put it on jack stands. There was plenty of room under the car. I removed the 6 exhaust hanger 1/2” bolts, dropped the exhaust then bolted the hitch right up. I re-hung the exhaust Total time was 1hr and 5 minutes from start to finish.

I am still very pleased with my etrailer tow hitch for my 2016 Dodge Challenger! I’ve been able to tow my trailer with both motorcycles and gear as well as furniture and miscellaneous buildings materials. It still blows my mind how easy the installation was. I recommend etrailer tow hitches to everyone!

by:

Installed the trailer hitch receiver exactly one year ago. It was easy to install and works great. I used a hydraulic jack to hold the hitch in place
and then installed the bolts.

by:

Will definitely be able to pull my utility trailer now, definitely fit like a glove on my 2012 srt8

by:

2015 Dodge Charger

I was skeptical about buying a hitch for my 2015 Dodge charger until I visited etrailer's web site!
The information available on this site made my research very simple and a choice was made!
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Item 76145 was the perfect application for my needs.
the installation videos available on etrailers site was spot on and made the install seamless, I also choose the Curt T-Connector wiring harness, again the installation videos made this install a breeze!
Thanks for all the knowledge shared and the products offered!

Hitch fits great. I still have not figure out what a quad exhaust is, but any who, it went on in about 45 minutes. Spent 15 minute fishing 1 bolt through. Should only try to use that fish wire 1 time. Other than that, I'm good to go.

Kevin, the quad-tip exhaust is a dual exhaust system with 2 tips on each end of the exhaust, for a total of 4 tips. I have emailed you an example photo.

Exactly as advertised, links to installation video made it easy to install. Definitely recommend

Dodge Charger

Product fits well and fairly easy to install, on my charger gt I had to remove the bumper which was the hardest part. If you have some mechanical knowledge should be no problem. First product from etrailer and was very impressed with the customer service, they helped me pick out the perfect hitch for my vehicle and kept in contact with me about shipping dates and was able to quickly respond.

by:

Fits perfect on my 2017 Chrysler 300 AWD. The AWD models sit a little higher than the RWD models, so I haven't had any issues with scraping. Hitch and wiring was installed in less than an hour. Looks good on the car too, doesn't stand out like other hitches do. Great product, would by again.

by:

Easy to install. Fit is superb. I will order again when the need arises. I am taking the 300 on a long road trip with my family and needed more luggage room so I will pull a small utility trailer that I already own.

by:

I am pleased with the Draw-Tite hitch
sold by etrailer.com. The video posted on YouTube by your company made installing it very simple.

by:

Excellent fit and finish. Low profile aesthetic and placement. Highly recommend.

by:

Great fit. Does not drag. I was a little concerned about that. Works well with my bike rack.

by:

worked perfectly

by:

Fast delivery. I replaced my exhaust system at the same time so install was easy. I like the install kit (included). The price was on point and the powder coat is flawless.

by:

Easy install

by:

Perfect fit. Easiest install ever! Put this on my wife’s car so she can tow bikes for her and my daughter. Worked!!!

by:

Wasn’t fun to install with having to remove bumper cover and drop one of the exhausts to be able to wiggle it into place but definitely nice to not have to do all that and then drill holes or weld so given the alternatives this is much easier with the same end result. Very sturdy and reliable

The package came in 3 days at standard shipping. The installation was extremely easy. The product is better than expected! I would differently order from etrailer again.

2019 Dodge Charger

I just received the trailer and wiring connectors for my 2019 Charger RT , so I have installed them yet but everything looks good and it arrived pretty quickly ,in about five days. The hitch looks heavy duty , I've installed one similar to this on a Challenger and it was pretty easy with a extra hand from my son. I plan on pulling a kayak trailer and using it for my bike rack.

by:

I only give 3 stars as I know the hitch is quality as I have purchased similar before. Loss in stars comes from horrible order processing on this order. Placed my order 5/1 with item instock and 3 day ship time.

After waiting for almost 3 weeks I had to reach out to vendor to see why order had not shipped. After few emails my item finally got shipped and arrived in 3 days like it should have. Failure in processing evidently had my order lost until I contacted them. Still waiting for my second item to arrive. Fingers crossed it will arrive soon.

2009 Dodge Charger

1st, the Good: hitch was well built, HD, painted well, packaged well, shipped promptly, arriving in great condition.
2nd, the BAD: no way that the average consumer, alone, installs that hitch on that application (09 Charger 5.7L) in 30mins! not even in 60mins!, more like a couple hrs, AT LEAST. By the directions, you are supposed to try the supplied bolt (12mm x 1.75) in the existing frame weld nut. It wouldn't even start. Why don't they give you a dog-point self-tapping bolt? I had to purchase a tap, and basically re-thread the weld-nut, which was not at all easy with the exhaust resonator in the way! Then snaking my hand in the right side, especially, to put the nuts & special washers on was very, very tough, again with the resonator in the way. Why on earth, do they not supply nuts with captive, free-spinning washers, so you don't have to juggle all those parts on the tips of the fingers of one hand while you try to pull the resonator out of the way with your other hand?
LAST, why is the trailer hitch so low? It looks like it could be shortened at least an inch or more to tuck it up close to the bottom of the rear fascia bottom.

Other than hanging too low, and sometimes scraping on steep transition driveways, its been good. Really dont understand why it hangs an inch lower than necessary.

by:

Had the item installed today. Works great! Delivered on time. Only downside is the cost of installation: #xxx for a 2 hour job at your recommended installer, [installer] in CA. After I ordered it, a friend told me that I could have purchased one for about the same price from a local [moving company] and had it installed for free. I checked and confirmed this with [moving company].

Excellent... no wobble!

The hitch works great! The install is a small task because only one muffler can be removed for the install.

  • Recommended 2 Inch Hitch for a 2018 Dodge Charger
Yes, there is. To add a 2" hitch to your 2018 Charger, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 76145. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Charger with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. I have linked an installation video below and attached a couple of pictures so you can see what this hitch looks like once installed. If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring...

  • 3 Bike Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for 2007 Chrysler 300
For a 3-bike platform rack the Kuat Transfer part # KU24FR would be a great option. We had the chance to test fit this rack on a similar 2015 Chrysler 300 and it fit and worked well. Check out the review video I attached that shows this. Platform bike racks are normally really heavy, especially ones that carry over 2 bikes like this one. The Transfer is relatively light all things considered at 51 lbs. Most similar racks are near 100 lbs. If you are in need of a hitch you'll want the 2...
