Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch & 2018 Dodge Challenger
Question:
I have a 2018 challenger 392. I was looking to get the Draw-tote trailer hitch but I would like to know what else I may need to be fully ready to tow a trailer. This is a side note but I’m looking to get a bushwhacker plus 15fk. Dry: 1900 lbs Gross weight: 3000. Would I be able to tow something like that with ease? Thanks.

Hello, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 76145 for your 2018 Dodge Challenger as long you do not have the Quad-Tip Exhaust; this is rated at a 675 lb. tongue weight. If you do have the the Quad-Tip Exhaust, I suggest the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13236.
The wiring connections I recommend is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118656.
All items I recommend here are confirmed fit for your 2018 Dodge Challenger. I have also attached links to video reviews of trailer hitches and some helpful articles on hitch mounts. But please be sure to review your vehicle specific owners manual for any restrictions/cautions toward towing as the OEM does recommend against using some trim levels for towing.
You will also need a ball mount such as the Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball # C45036.
As for towing a camper, please refer to your vehicle specific owners manual for towing specs. I cannot make a suggestion based on what published information I have available.
