1985 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

The box was roughed up a bit by delivery and one of the bolts is now rolling around in a delivery truck somewhere in America. Anyhow, I contacted etrailer and they got a whole new pack of bolts sent my way. Now I have a ton of extras. Anyhow, the hitch fit my 1985 C30, although I had to drill holes in the frame (easy). It looks super sturdy and was in good shape. No powder coat issues.

This was a direct bolt on hitch for my 1976 c20 chevy crew cab. No drilling on my frame. Very pleased.

arrived fast and in great condition - bolted right up .
Although i had to drill 2 holes it went right into place .
Easy installation thank you

1970 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Got my new hitch late last night. I was so glad to get it I had to put it together right then. Its going to be a perfect fit. The hitch is very well built. Very surprised I could find a hitch for a 1970 GMC. I will be pulling my 27 ft Toy hauler after a little more restoration work. Always happy with Etrailer. I'll post more pics when I have it on and hooked up to my trailer

My new hitch from etrailer is working out great. I have pulled my Toy Hauler with my 70 GMC. Trailer weights a little over 9000 lbs. Also did aLS swap on the GMC 6 liter vortec

by:

Fits nicely right under a 10 inch drop bumper on my 97 F-250 HD. Was able to leave the spare tire under there, though I had to grind the latching system a bit to have it fit just right. It is very visible from the sides of the truck along the sides of the frame because of how much it has to drop, but it is not very visible from the rear for those that care about aesthetics.

Hitch has towed everything Ive asked of it. Very solid, no regrets and more importantly no need to ever purchase another one!

I installed this hitch on a 1998
Chevy K3500 with a dump bed. I had to make a slight modification to the truck so that the hitch would bolt up. This included removing a metal shield from under the rear fuel tank, the hitch now offers some protection for the tank. In addition, I had to drill 2 - 1/2” holes in the rear of the frame to install the hitch. The hitch now works great on this older truck, and has been used many times over the past year.

by:

Straight forward install. This is a well built hitch that has taken everything I have thrown at it. The finish has held up well too.

Quality hitch but none of the bolt holes line up, nothing a drill bit can't fix in about 15 minutes, 1972 K-10 Chevy

A++++ highly recommend

I thought I had selected the correct Curt receiver and was ready to place an order online, but I decided to call instead. Ashley advised this receiver was the correct one for my bumper. She saved a lot of headache on my part avoiding order the incorrect product. The receiver actually delivered a day earlier than planned. I am impressed with the quality of the product and am planning on an install this weekend, then putting it to work. I will definitely shop etrailer again in the future. From the website, selection of products, knowledgeable associates and fast shipping, I made a good decision shopping here.

Although I had to "help" a couple holes with a drill the install went very well and looks great on my 83 k20! The holes were only partly off and took a few seconds to line up. Highly recommend curt products from E Trailer!

This hitch is excellent upgrade for my old Dodge dually to safely haul my new dump trailer. Heavy duty gussets around insert area for more peace of mind. Install was straight forward, great price, and etrailer.com got it to me quick.

Hitch has performed flawlessly, with max loads on multiple trips. Dually pretty much stays hitched to dump trailer.

1993 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I installed two of these on 1993 ford trucks a f250 and a f350. Both trucks are 7.3 diesels with heavy cowboy bumpers. Buy high grade drill bits, Don't weld to the frame. Don't expect the spare tire and it's brackets to stay on the trucks and expect to reroute the tailpipe. In the end much more useful than just the bumper for multiple receiver hitch applications and worth the effort to upgrade.

by:

Fit perfect very easy to install, didn’t need to do any drilling and it looks awesome. Shipping was on time. I would buy again.

by:

This hitch was exactly what I needed. It fit my pickup truck perfectly and was easy to install. I use it pull my 14 K trailer to haul my backhoe, cars, and other equipment. I would recommend this hitch. It was a great value for the price. Thanks.

Bolted up perfectly with no modificatio n.

Chevrolet

This hitch went on my 84 K30 Chevy. Very easy once you remove the spare tire and carrier. Way heavy duty but very easy to install. No complaints with hitch whatsoever. The hitch was delivered in a cardboard box that had seen its better days. Box was busted open in several areas but the anvil type quality of the hitch didn't effect it at all. May have been the shipper fault but none the less.

by:

Excellent customer service, fast delivery, well packaged, quality workmanship. Thank you very much.

Just as easy to install as other hitches I have installed before.

Fit my 1986 Chevy K20 without having to remove the existing steel tow bumper.

  • Curt Hitch Bolt Holes Will Not Line Up on 1998 Chevy K3500
So there's one of two things going on here if your Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 isn't lining up properly on your 1998 Chevy K3500 pickup. The first possibility, and the most likely, is that the hitch was slightly bent, or "flexed" during shipping. This is unfortunately common but also relatively easily remedied; I have added a link to a help article entitled "My Trailer Hitch Doesn't Fit" for you to check out which has solutions. The other possibility is that you have the...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2012 Lexus RX 350 and What Other Vehicles Will the Hitch Fit
I have included a link to the hitches that will fit your 2012 Lexus RX 350. The Curt hitch you referenced, # C15511, will not fit. Hitches are custom designed to fit specific vehicles. Multi-fit hitches are no longer being made. If you went with the Curt hitch for your vehicle, which is # C13143, then it will only fit on the following vehicles: 2010 - 2012 Lexus RX 350 2010 - 2015 Lexus RX 450h 2013 - 2015 Lexus RX 350 And, if you were to move the hitch from one compatible vehicle to...

  • Trailer Hitch Needed for a 1997 Ford F-350 Heavy Duty with a Deep Drop Bumper
The Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15511 that you referenced is a great option for the deep drop bumper on your 1997 Ford F-350 Heavy Duty. The Draw-Tite # 41504 is a little more cost-effective but it also requires the use of the adapter kit # 01685 and it doesn't have as high of a weight rating. We do have a selection of camper tie-downs that you can install on your F-350. If you let me know what the size of your truck bed is and if you have a board or step I can make a recommendation...

  • Comparing Regular and Deep Drop Bumper Trailer Hitches for a 1964 Chevy 1/2 Ton Truck
A standard bumper looks like a regular old bumper that goes straight across at the top and bottom and might have a cut out in the center for a license plate but the cutout does not drop below the bottom of the bumper. A deep drop bumper will have the cut out in the middle but drops below the bottom of the bumper (at the center) so that it angles up from the center to the outer edges of the bumper. I have included a picture that better illustrates this. For models with the standard bumper...

We do have a Class IV trailer hitch receiver from Curt, part # C14082, that is confirmed to fit a 1996 Ford F-250/350 Cab and Chassis style frame. As long as your Ford has 34 inch frame spacing this hitch receiver will fit. It has bolt hole centers that measure 31-1/4 inches that you can use as a reference. Because the mounting flange of the Curt # C15511 Class V hitch has 3 tabs on each side, rather than a continuous mounting flange like many other hitches, it'll fit around the rivet shown in your photo. However, be aware that the Curt # C15511 is a fit for cab/chassis models only and won't fit a vehicle that has a standard truck bed on it. Chassis/cab models have a narrower frame which is why this hitch wouldn't work on a pickup model. If you have a pickup model with the 37-1/2 inch frame...

We do offer trailer hitch options for a 1972 Ford F-250 but as far as the flatbed goes, this will be up to you to decide as none of our options are designed for this use. However, the best option would be to go with one that is designed for models with a deep drop tube bumper as this would give you the best chance of compatibility.
