Awesome customer service. Keep me up to date on my order even tho it took forever for the manufacturer to build the original one I wanted. But this one turned out to work just as great. I'll definitely continue to be a customer.

2003 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Product showed up early - Awesome!
One
of the bolt/Studs was slightly damaged and needed some filing to be salvaged - luckily not a lot of work and the bolt could still be used.
So far its a great product, I'll know more once I get some use out of it.

  • What is a Deep Drop Bumper? How Do I Know If I Have One?
A deep drop bumper is also known as a cowboy bumper. It is taller than a regular bumper, and would use a receiver that is lower than what would be used on the same vehicle that was equipped with a standard bumper. If you click on the provided link, you can see our Bumper FAQ article that will explain it in full. If your 1999 Ford F series has the cowboy bumper, the # C15316 would work great for you. If you have the standard bumper, # C14355 would be a better choice. This hitch will only...

  • How do I Know if I Have a Deep Drop Bumper?
I can definitely get you information about bumper styles, but the measurements do vary significantly between brands. With that being said, I included a picture of what a deep drop bumper will look like as well as an article on the different types of bumpers that can be installed on trucks.

  • Mounting Hole Spacing and Drop Distance for Curt Class V Trailer Hitch C15316
Curt trailer hitch # C15316 is a custom fit hitch designed to 1999 - 2003 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty Pickups with factory Deep Drop Bumpers, sometimes called a cowboy bumper. The hitch mounting holes are spaced approximately 34-1/2 inches apart on center. It doesn't fit a minimum or maximum frame width being a custom hitch and all. From the mounting surface (bottom of truck frame) down to the top of the receiver is 9 inches.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1999 Ford F-350 W/ Deep Drop Bumper
I would be happy to help! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15316 you were looking at measures 9" from the top of the mounting flange to the top of the crosstube, so it will stick down 2" lower than the existing hitch on your 1999 Ford F-350. The B&W # BWHDRH25230 is made for only a standard bumper, and will not clear you deep drop bumper. I recommend the # C15316 as it will clear your bumper, and also has a Class V rating that you were looking for. This hitch has a tongue weight rating...

I checked with Curt and the distance from the rearmost mounting holes of the Curt Hitch part # C15316 to the hitch opening measures 11-1/4. My contact at Curt also confirmed that this hitch will fit a 37 inch frame with mounting holes that are 34-1/2 inches apart.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2001 Ford F250
Deep drop bumpers will usually hang about 10 inches below the bottom of the frame where the hitch would attach to. If you measure that distance and its about 10 inches you would need a deep drop bumper hitch like Curt Hitch part # C15316. If you determine you do not have a drop bumper you could use the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25230. For a ball mount, hitch ball, and pin and clip, I would recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This is a kit which includes...

  • Trailer Hitch for a 1994 Ford F-250 with Deep Drop Cowboy Bumper and 10,000 Pound Trailer
Since your 1994 Ford F-250 has a deep drop (Cowboy) bumper you will need to look at some different hitches. I recommend the B&W hitch # BWHDRH25198 because the other hitches max out at 10,000 pounds when using weight distribution whereas the B&W tops out at 16,000 pounds with weight distribution. Provided the custom Cowboy bumper drops down as far as the optional factory deep drop bumper this is the ideal hitch for your truck.

  • Trailer Hitch that Sticks Out More on a 2002 Ford F-350 with a Deep Drop Bumper
For a trailer hitch that fits your 2002 Ford F-350 with the deep drop bumper Curt hitch # C15316 is the best option. It measures 11-1/4 from the rear-most attachment point on the truck to the face of the receiver. That should tell you if it will stick out further than the hitch you have. I included a picture and a link to the instructions to help locate the attachment point on the truck.

  • What is the Towing Capacity of a 1999 Ford F-350 with V10 Engine
The maximum conventional towing capacity of your 1999 Ford F-350 is 5,000 lbs at the bumper and 10,000 lbs at the trailer hitch. If you are looking to tow under 5,000 lbs then all you would need is a hitch ball like the 2" Hitch Ball part # 40038 or the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball part # C40007. However, if you looking to tow in excess of 5,000 lbs then you would need a frame mount trailer hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15316 which is a custom fit that provides you with a 2"...

  • Trailer Hitch to Fit 1999 Ford F-250 with Drop Bumper
Since you have a deepdrop bumper on your 1999 Ford F-250 you'd actually want the Curt hitch part # C15316 instead of the # C13014. We have exactly what you are looking for! You are correct that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15810 you were looking at will not fit your 1999 Ford F-350 with an 8" deep drop bumper. Instead I recommend the Curt # C15316 which measures 9" from the top of the mounting flange (Bottom of your trucks frame) to the top of the receiver so it will work with your bumper, and has a 2400lb tongue weight rating and 16000lb trailer weight rating, or a 2400lb tongue weight rating and 17000lb trailer...

  • Hitch Solution for 1999 Ford F-250 with Deep Drop Bumper
The Curt hitch you mentioned is more of a multi fit hitch and would not be the best choice for your truck, but we do have a couple options. The closest fitting, but still probably not close enough would be the # 37133 which has it's hitch opening 7-1/4 inches down below the frame mounting surface. This isn't quite enough though as you'd need 1/8 of an inch more. The # C15316 does drop a bit more than what you'd need but it's going to be best fitting option. Other choice you have would...

The first thing you are going to want to do is check the owners manual for the 2007 Hyundai Elantra to determine if it can be towed on a tow dolly. If the camper in the truck bed sit on or overhangs the tailgate you will want to get a longer ball mount. The longest ball mounts we carry measure 16 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. He said the # C15410 is 5.32 inches from the frame to the top of the crosstube and they don't have anything in between those two to meet your 8 inches. Due to your aftermarket bumper on your 2000 Ford F-250, you have the best option as the other will not fit.
