This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Very sturdy and well made. If you do this yourself be sure to have a helper when lifting the hitch into place. Also watch the bolts as you can easily knock one back up into the channel. (Yes, this happened to me and it is not easy to get it out to reset it). The down side would be putting the rubber isolators by the muffler back. The space is very narrow so it is difficult to get a larger hand in there to push it back on the hanger. The associated wiring harness was simple plug in that was super easy compared to the hitch.
Does everything it needs to. Towed a 5x8 trailer into the mountains with close to 1,000lbs in it. Also used this hitch to move dirt around the yard with a basket when my wheelbarrow came up lame. Also used this hitch to transport my dirtbike on a dirtbike rack. Very happy with this purchase.
I would give the product an excellent as it is an extremely solid hitch receiver, maybe even strengthening the Subaru frame. However the Curt instructors were a bit brief and not really reasonable on time frame. With the help of a mechanic friend I was able to install the receiver in a little over two hours. Definitely not a project to tackle without proper support. Just for reference I also purchased and mount a Curt receiver on a 4Runner by myself and thought it was way easier than instructed.

Great hitch, tubular design looks great and very strong.
It was challenging to install as described, but I accomplished it in approx 90 minutes. It fit well, and i was happy with it.
arrived intact,but bpx was beat up
