The quality of the product and associated hardware is excellent, the instructions are absolute trash. They state that the only vehicle part that needs to be removed is the exhaust system, and that is just to be loosened and lowered. To gain access to the required holes in which to pass your forward mounting carriage bolts through, you might as well drop the gas tank. Even then, there’s internal framework on the passenger side, so you can’t even use that access hole. Another review of this product states the exact same complaint. I had to modify one of the grade 8 carriage bolt into a T bolt just to get it to work in the forward passenger side mounting location. Hopefully the structural integrity is still there. I wish that Curt Mfg would put as much effort into their instructions as they do their products. But you know what they say… wish in one hand.

When you are trying to make things fit, its always better to make the hole larger. Some people use a grinder and some use a file. That way the integrity of the bolt and hitch isnt compromised. We are bringing this fitment issue to Curts attention. It looks like you arent the only one having this problem.

Tow package was perfect fit for my 95 Pathfinder. Needed slight drilling for a couple of holes in the frame but not a big deal. Wiring package an easy fix.
Very happy with the ordering, delivery and quality of product. Will continue to use etrailer for my trailer needs.

Nice product overall. Fit and finish was excellent. Powder coating looks durable. Only issue was installing the two front bolts and spacers. Both bolts needed to be ground down on two sides into a "T" bolt in order to pass below round tubing that passes through the frame. Once in place hitch is rock solid.

The hitch seems very good, but it does not quite fit 1995 pathfinder. Will probably be able to get it on but requires cutting out a rather large hole on the rail next to the gas tank to get the flange and bolt through.

There should be a hole at the rear of the frame member that will allow you to fish the bolt and blocks through to the mounting holes using the provided fishwire.

Great product, fits like it should. Instructions aren't that great, with little detail. Otherwise seems to be a good product

Nice fit and finish. Had to be professionally installed in my case (due to the necessary exhaust work). It's a tight fit in the end.

See what our Experts say about this CURT Trailer Hitch

  • Can I Use A Hitch Extension w/ Curt Trailer Hitch # C13095 On a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
When using a hitch extension it will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13095, by 50 percent. The tongue weight capacity of that hitch is 500 lbs, so if you use a hitch extension it will be reduced to 250 lbs. So you will not want to use a hitch extension when towing a trailer. For towing you could use a extended ball mount like the Ball Mount Kit, # EBMK2EL. This will extend the hitch ball 11-1/4 inches from the hitch pin hole and you will not lose the weight...

  • Will Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13095 Opening Sit Flush with Bumper on 1991 Nissan Pathfinder
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13095, is custom designed for your 1991 Nissan Pathfinder and uses existing holes in the vehicle frame for the rear mounting holes on the hitch. These holes must be used for installation so there isn't any flexibility when it comes to mounting location for the hitch. In order to determine where the hitch opening will sit in comparison to the bumper on your Pathfinder, you will just need to measure 3-3/4 inches from the existing rear mounting holes in...
