Today we're going to take a look at the replacement two inch hitch ball for the Curt secure latch pinto hook. Now this part will replace the hitch ball that's on your Curt secure latch combination pinto hitch with the hitch ball. This accepts two inch couplers. Also, it will accept the lunette ring with either a two and a half inch or three-inch inside diameter. As you can see, it does include the washer and the nut for installation. It does have a nice corrosion resistant zinc finish on both the ball and the hardware.When you go to install this, you'll drop it through, put your washer up, and then take your nut and go ahead and tighten that down to the factory torque specs.A few specs on this, the diameter of ball is two inches.
The weight capacity, which is stamped on the top, is 10,000 pounds and the shank diameter is going to be right at one and a quarter inches, and the shank length is right at three and a half inches.But that should do it for the review on the replacement two inch hitch ball for the Curt secure latch pinto hook.

- What Size Hitch Ball Is Required For The Curt SecureLatch Pintle Hook Ball Mount 48407? The Curt SecureLatch Pintle Hook with 2" Ball # CU37FR (48407) requires a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank. The collar the shank fits into is 2" tall(see image). We do carry a 2" Replacement Ball # CU67FR as well as a 2-5/16" Ball # CU77FR from Curt made specifically for the SecureLatch hitches.

- Availability of Other Hitch Ball Sizes for Curt Securelatch Pintle Ball MountFor the Curt Securelatch adjustable ball mounts like part # CU47FR we have replacement balls like the part # CU67FR for a 2 inch ball or the part # CU77FR for the other popular size of 2-5/16 inch. The included ball is a 2 inch ball. The shank diameter is 1-1/4 inch but we recommend you only use one of the Curt balls for the Securelatch mentioned.

That said, you can either swap back and forth between this and the Curt SecureLatch Pintle Hook part # CU47FR which comes with a 2" ball or change the hitch ball each time with the Replacement Hitch Ball for Curt SecureLatch Pintle Hook part # CU67FR.
