The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having a 1-7/8" ball, a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

I wanted to buy a quality hitch, and let me tell you the B&W does not disappoint. Well engineered. It’s it heavy but when installed it is pretty easy to adjust height and ball size. Also supporting an American company is a plus!
Great hitch. I bought the 3 ball with 8" drop hitch. My utility trailer needs it almost all the way down. My boat trailer needs it almost all the way up on my Chevy 2500HD. The only time I have removed it was to install a Pintle hitch one day to haul a trailer for a tractor. Tip: Use silicone spray on the adjustable pins. Use of lithium grease fouls them up so it's difficult to remove and reinstall them (collects dirt, dust). Also lubricate your hitch lock monthly, or you won't be able to open it if you ever want to remove the hitch.
It has been a great hitch I've had no problems whatsoever and I love the fact that it's so easy to change between the three ball sizes I would absolutely order this hitch again you can't go wrong with B&W
I've owned this hitch a year paired behind my 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a 7" lift. Performs excellent! Towed several different trailers with different ball sizes and different towing heights totally over 5k miles. Don't ever plan on replacing it because it does everything I need it to do in great fashion! Thanks B&W for making a great product and etrailer for being an excellent provider!
This is a very well made a versatile hitch. I have multiple trailers and this hitch stays on my truck all the time. So when it’s not in use I pull a few pins and put it in stow position. No cracked shins that way. I love it…

A year later it’s holding up like a boss. I use it most everyday and it’s still doing very well
I would like to split my review into two parts. First, I can't say enough about how great the customer service was from the beginning of my ordering process all the way through delivery of my hitch. I placed my order over the phone and my rep was extremely professional, efficient, and thorough during the entire call. Shipment was very fast and FREE. Etrailer.com really has their stuff together!
Next will be my review of the hitch I purchased; I can't say enough about the B&W tow and stow hitch. I bought my first one many many years ago and it still performs today like it did when it was new. However, it only had a 5" drop and I needed more drop in my current truck/tire combination that I'm running. This hitch is the 7" drop 7 1/2" rise three ball model and likely the last hitch I'll ever have to buy. Don't let the price scare you if you have different trailers that require different height set-ups or ball sizes. These are the best hitches out there and Etrailer.com brings it to market as well or better than anyone.
One recommendation... Purchase a locking pin for through receiver use. This is a very nice hitch and someone may tempted to make it their own if it's not secured properly.
Just received ball mount yesterday. This ball mount is heavy duty with a quality feel. Fit and finish are impressive with durable coatings and tight tolerances. Allows me to tow my motorcycle trailer and cargo trailer with one ball mount (different ball sizes and heights for each trailer). I was worried that the 7” drop might be too low for my 2016 Ram 1500 with stock air suspension, but since installed, it looks good and I’m no longer concerned with possibly bottoming out during daily driving. Added the silencer pad upon initial install and haven’t heard any rattling. So far I’m overall impressed with this product.

B&W hitch has been great no problems with it. Has came in handy for the use of multiple trailers. The adjustment of the B&W hitch has been really handy.
When I first saw how pricey the hitch was I was pretty skeptical about buying. But now a year after having it installed on my truck and using it dozens of times I will NEVER buy a different hitch. I really like how it stows away under my truck when I don’t need it. I also like how it has 3 different size balls since I own several trailers with different size balls

Seems to be holding up well. Just remember it's only a 10k ball mount. I originally ordered it for my front hitch but started using it on my rear hitch because it's very convenient to change ball size compared to the aluminum scaled hitch that I was using. Then I bought a 15,400 dump trailer and neither mount is rated for that amount of weight. I would recommend this mount.
Very convenient. Was concerned that in the stow position it would not fit under the bumper of my 2013 Yukon. It tucks under nicely with the middle ball pointing down.
Quality product with the reputation to back it up. Highly recommended.
I should have just gotten the 2 ball setup as not much use for the 1-7/8". But an extra $10, why not?

Since getting a newer truck I needed a longer/drop down hitch. I am now starting to pull trailers that have all three size balls.
This hitch has worked perfectly and with having all sized balls I don't worry about what trailer I'm pulling.
I have never had issues with wobble or any play in the hitch.
I typically take it off when not is use but have left it on for a couple weeks a time.
Weather has not deteriorated the finish at all.
I would high recommend using a locking type hitch pin - if nothing else for a piece of mind that your $$ hitch won't be stolen.
Would I buy it again - absolutely.
It may be pricey but it seems to be a well built piece of equipment and for me, when I'm pulling a trailer, I don't want to worry about the attachment point.
With this hitch I don't worry that I'll have an issue.

Its been a year and I have no complaints and would buy it again. I tow various trailers from time to time and having this ball/hitch allows me to know I can back up to a trailer and Ive got not only the size ball I need but I can also adjust the height of the ball to make sure the tongue of the trailer Im pulling is level when Im towing. You will want to purchase a lockable hitch pin so someone wont want this great hitch more than you. Once you have it locked on it is designed that no one can take the adjustable piece off the main hitch.And buy the way- I usually remove it when not in use but sometimes due to pulling a trailer more often I leave it mounted to receiver so its in the weather. I did pull it apart a couple time just to oil up the sliding surfaces but other than that it hasnt weather or rusted anywhere.
Well built, very strong. The welds look awesome! This is a heavy ball mount but if you are considering an adjustable height and ball mount this is the best one I ran across. Most people will install it, lock it in place and seldom remove it so the weight isn't really an issue. I love the flexibility this hitch provides. Numerous height and ball diameter combinations allow me to back up to any of my trailers and hook on. I didn't think I cared about the ability to fold the balls up under the receiver but I actually use this feature and like it. Highly recommend!

After one tear the hitch is still like new. Regular cleaning and light litigation of the pins is required. Since I leave the hitch on my truck all the time I often forget to lubricate the hitch pin locked often as I should. Great hitch. Id buy it again. If youre considering buying one, do it. You wont regret it.
