It's important to make sure that your spare tire is properly inflated in the event that you need to use it, but it can be a real pain to access the spare when it's stored underneath your vehicle. The Wheel Masters spare tire inflation kit takes the hassle out of checking air pressure and inflating your under-chassis-mounted spare tire.
A 36" long hose lets you move the valve stem location of the spare tire to an easy-to-access spot on your vehicle's rear bumper. This means no more crawling on the ground or blindly reaching for the valve stem on your spare. And the stainless steel wrapping on the hose helps prevent it from cracking or leaking.

Today we are going to review part number WM82286-S. This is the Wheel Masters Spare Tire Inflation kit for under-chassis mounted spare tires. This inflation kit will let you easily check your air pressure and inflate a spare tire that is mounted under your chassis. It will relocate your valve stem of the spare tire to the rear bumper and it keeps you from crawling underneath your vehicle to access the spare to check the air. This does include a 36 inch long stainless steel wrapped two-ply rubber tubing with nylon braiding. This durable wrapping will help prevent the hose from cracking or leaking.
It is a very simple installation with all this included hardware. There's no drilling required; it does even come with this 90-degree valve extender which will allow you to attach this-you just screw this on to your valve stem of your spare tire and it extends your valve stem of your spare tire out to an accessible location. Then you'll just take this end of your hose and it just screws on very simple and then at the other end, you just run this to somewhere underneath your bumper using the included bracket and hardware. You're going to just attach this to the bracket and this will be accessible right at the rear of your vehicle, so you don't have to crawl under to check the air in your spare tire. These tire valve extenders are great and the kits come equipped for a complete installation. I have installed them of all of my cars and my kids cars. They are so good that I actually now check the air is my spare tires more that twice a year. I check it every week of so when I check the rest of the tires. Installation include a Subaru, Matrix, Ford Expedition, Ford F-150 pick up, and the Toyota.
This product is a game changer with all the tires now having TPMS. My spare always triggers the alarm for low pressure when it starts getting colder. Now I don’t have to remove it to get air into it.
Easy to install and makes checking and filling the F150 spare tire a breeze.
I have two spare tires on my motorcycle trailer that are mounted stacked and covered, making them very unhandy for simple air pressure checks. I bought two of these air extension hoses and ran them through the flooring up to each tire, allowing me to do a quick air pressure check right from the front of the trailer!
I was so impressed with the quality of these hoses that I bought a third and installed it to the spare tire on my truck!

A very useful device to check your spare tire.
Good quality stainless steel hose and end fittings. Installed on my 2017 Subaru Outback to check the spare tire pressure regularly. Without this extension hose, it would have required me to empty out the entire trunk to access the spare tire.
Excellent product and serves an often overlooked maintenance issue. Who wants to crawl under their truck in the mud and snow to check the air pressure in their spare tire?
Installed in minutes and looks great. I took my time to remove a plastic bumper trim rivet so I could reinstall it and hold the braided hose mounting clip in place. It does not stand out and draw attention, which is something that I appreciate.
I honestly stumbled into this item as I did not know they existed but was something I knew I wanted to put on my new truck.
This was easy to install. I'm very impressed with the quality. It makes checking the spare tire pressure easy.
Attached the tube to a spare tire in an internal wheel well, and drilled a 3/8 inch hole in the trunk 'floor' to provide access to measure the tire pressure without moving anything. The attached photo shows the end of the tube attached to the inside trunk floor, held in place with the provided bracket. After setting the tire pressure to 60 psi, this pressure has been maintained for 24 hours, so it appears the tube and fittings are air tight.

A year later, and this extension still maintains the 60psi of the spare. Being able to confirm the spare pressure so easily is reassuring.
Appears to be well made. I will use it on a motorhome rear-mounted spare tire so that fiberglass cover does not have to be removed to check tire pressure. This will replace an all rubber extension hose that developed a leak after about 10 years. Believe the stainless steel covering should make this product last much longer.

Still working great - no problems.
So far so good. Easy installation on my van's "Continental" style spare. Saves having to take off the wheelcover disc and chrome retainer rim. (neither shown in pictures). I can now drive with peace of mind about the status of the spare tire.

My only complaint is that the nut retaining the valve on the bracket is carbon steel and of course rusts. Could not find a SS nut to fit so I made one from a piece of nylon. That will never rust! Otherwise an excellent product.
Easy and quick installation. So far very pleased with the product that was ordered.
I would "definitely" order again in the future from "etrailer". I am very pleased and satisfied with the whole process from ordering to delivery.
I am one very satisfied customer and I will difinitely let others know about doing business with 'etrailer'.

Patrick, thanks for following up. The productitem in question has performed/works as it was intended and I am very pleased with it. But there is just one draw back to it. You see the part that attaches to the rear bumper, chrome/metal parts tend to start rusting out after a few months? I was slightly disappointed in the fact that this happened. Does not look very good when viewing it. Other than that, as previously mentioned it works as it should.
This product appears to do the job intended; however, it may not hold air due to the two extra connections. The jury is out on that. On my Lexus, the spare tire inflation valve is on top. A true PITA.

Great. Make sure the connections are tight. Had to air up the spare twice to keep dash warning light off. Slick.
The kit was very simple to install and use. (Installed on 2015 Ram 1500 Pick-up)
The unit does not leak air even after several months. A very high quality product, that I would buy again, and highly recommend to other motorists needing such an accessory.

The kit did not come with a nut that secures the extension valve stem end to the L bracket. Now I have to special order that simple nut to make this kit work. Disappointing.

I purchased this item to replace an old cloth covered rubber extension hose to check my spare tire pressure . As my spare tire was over 6 yrs. old I purchased a new spare tire . After having my spare tire replaced with a new spare tire I checked the tire pressure pressure and it was ZERO LBS. the next day ! After checking the new spare tire and re-inflating the new tire it held pressure for a full week without the extension hose , it appears the old extension hose was cracked and leaking ? I installed this new unit and the tire and the new hose extension have held correct pressure for at least a week . This new unit is well made and has a braided stainless steel sheath . It cost about three times as much as a cloth covered rubber hose extension , but I think it will last much longer than the " cheapo " extensions? I used this on a Toyota Tundra 4 WD PU and go into some pretty out of the way places and always want a good spare tire available . Mounting for the new unit is very easy and you may be able to use zip ties and not need to drill any holes to mount it ?
This hose is just right to make checking that undermount spare tire a breeze. Installed in about 20 minutes. Make sure to use zip ties to secure the hose to the frame. I threw a few spare zip ties in the truck just in case.

Hose is still working perfectly. No leaks and I am now confidant that the spare is properly inflated should I have to use it.
I had looked for a spare tire extender for quite some time but could only find inexpensive ones with poor reviews. I recently bought a trailer hitch from etrailer and I found the Wheel Masters extender while browsing the site. The extender arrived promptly and appears to be very high quality. Installation was very simple. Now I can check my spare tire without digging out tire tools and lowering the spare.
Pretty easy to install as long as you have a hole for the mounting screw or bolt to go into. I did not have one so I had to make one and the frame was a hard steel so it was not easy to drill and I broke my tap and had to make a different hole. The mounting bracket is prettt light weight, but its not holding much and should not be under stress. However so far the product does what it was made for so I'm happy. I can easily check and adjust the spare tire without lowering it.
I installed one of these filler hoses on the spare tire of my 2015 Ram 1500 about 1-1/2 years/ 20K miles ago. It worked flawlessly until I had a flat, and after removing the spare, I failed to secure the hose properly, and it dragged on the ground, damaging it beyond repair.
I immediately ordered a replacement from etrailer, which was delivered promptly.
I recommend without reservation both the product and etrailer.com to anyone needing a similar item.
This is great for checking your spare tire pressure without having to lower and remove your spare. I tie it onto the spare wheel with a piece of bicycle tire tube to keep it from flopping around. Holding air just fine a year later.
Kudos to etrailer! The product was received as described and at a better price than others offered. It was well packaged and arrived in a reasonable timeframe with the cheapest shipping. Although I haven't installed it yet, I've opened the package and inspected the contents. The materials all appear to be high quality and well made. Once installed, I will appreciate not having to drop my spare tire to check pressure or inflate it. It must be one of Murphy's Laws that it'll be the spare that causes the TPMS light to illuminate!
Works as expected. Makes it easy to keep spare tire at correct tire pressure. It was working fine after 8 years of use, replaced only to have a new look due to rebuild of back bumper and trailer hitch.
I like to check the pressure in my spare tire on a regular basis but dropping the spare on my truck is a pain. This kit was easy to install and now I can check my spare tire pressure anytime I want as easily as the other tires.
