Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 4-1/2 inch stake pocket tie-down anchor with the D-ring, has a 4,000 pound working load limit. Now, this stake pocket anchor provides a tie-down point in your trailer, drops into your stake pocket of the trailer. It is a movable tie-down, so it'll slide into the 4-1/2 inch wide stake pocket, and it can be easily removed and reinstalled where you need it. It secures in place with the included extra long five inch pin and the clip. The D-ring you can see at the top is hinged, so it's easy to secure the tie-down straps from different angles.
It is a solid steel construction. And if you notice, it has a nice heavy duty gloss black powder coat finish on it to resist chipping and scratching. It is made in the USA. You can see the holes on the side, but basically when you drop that into the stake pocket and then just slide your pin all the way across to lock it into place, and then just take your clip and go ahead and push the clip on. And once that's on there, it'll hold it in place.
A few specs on this. The maximum load or brake strength is 12,000 pounds. The safe working load limit would be a third of that, which is 4,000 pounds. The opening of the D-ring right up here is about 2-1/2 inches wide. But that should do it for the review on this 4-1/2 inch stake pocket tie-down anchor with the D-ring.
