Worked great! By mounting the tracks directly to the rails of my Tonneau Switchback retractable bed cover on this short bed F150 I was able to put a bike rack system using existing Yakima towers and bars. The bike rack can be moved to other Yakima systems and locations easily.

by:

It seems like the package arrived before I ordered it. I was amazed how fast it came. Everything was there and installation instructions were complete. Excellent product, well built with a reasonable price. Don't be afraid to do it yourself.

by:

Product was exactly as etrailer described and arrived quickly after my order.

by:

It took a while to get my order due to supply and demand. I was notified when it was on its way with tracking information.

by:

I received all the necessary parts but only by luck. The packing tube split where the rails ended and the mounting hardware started because of the weight differential. Luckily it came through complete. Hardware needs to be distributed along the length of the rails. Product is good. Delivery not so much.

by:

Excellent customer service

by:

Everything came in complete package with no damage, the instructions were helpful and informational making it easy to install these on my own

by:

Great communication and fast shipping. Thank you.

  • Yakima Track Length Needed For Truck Cap to Add Roof Rack
All you'll need to add tracks to your truck cap so you can mount a rooftop tent are the 42 inch Yakima tracks, which are the following part number: - Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126

  • What Part Of Roof To Install Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks On 2001 Ford F-350
I was able to find the video you are referring to of an installation of part # Y01127 on the 2004 Ford F-250, our installer does attach the tracks closer to the door because that is the strongest part of the roof. I have attached that video. I contacted Yakima and they said the tracks can be installed anywhere on the roof of 2001 Ford F-350 that works best for you but we like to install them closer to the door for stability.

  • Determining Weight Capacity of Yakima Track Roof Rack for Naked Roof
The weight capacity of the Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126 will be the capacity of the bars used in them which will be 165 lbs most of the time. Now the roof capacity is also a figure you need to stay under as well. They don't have a specific capacity for a sheet metal roof install so you'd have to stay under the capacity of the vehicle roof as stated in the owners manual. When installed properly though you would not have to worry about the tracks popping out. We sell these tracks...

  • Can the Yakima Tracks for Roof Racks Be Trimmed
I can't see why you wouldn't be able to cut the Yakima 54" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y26RR if need be. As long as you're able to cut it cleanly to where the end cap would fit back in place as it was before, you'll be good to go. We also have shorter tracks, # Y01126, which are 42" long which might be better suited for you.

  • Do Yakima Tracks Need Yakima Feet & Crossbars
Yes, you will need to stick with Yakima when installing the Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126. You will also need the TrackTowers for Yakima Crossbars and Platforms # Y52AV.

  • Will RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-80384 Fit with Bullring Tie Down Anchors
I checked out the BullRing tie down loops you mentioned and they would easily fit with the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover w/ Trax Rails # RTT-80384 that you referenced. This tonneau would not go over the rail or stake pocket enough for it to interfere. The Yakima track kit part # Y01126 that you referenced is not designed for use on truck bed rails so this would not be your best option.

  • Replacement PlusNut Hardware For Yakima Roof Tracks On 2009 Scion xB
The Replacement PlusNut Hardware Kit, part # Y8880039 you asked about will work for installing the Yakima 42 inch Tracks part # Y01126, or the Yakima 54 inch Tracks, part # Y01127. I called Yakima and they told me the bolts in the replacement kit are 10-32 mm with a thread pitch of .75. If you do not have the tracks for your 2009 Scion xB, you will want to take a measurement to see which track you need. If you need to order the track, they come with the mounting PlusNut hardware included.

  • Can I Use Yakima SkyLine Towers with Thule Tracks?
Yes, the tracks themselves recreate the factory C-shaped rack tracks. Thule Tracks # THTP42 and Yakima Tracks # Y01126 have the same C-channel design, but differ in length and how they mount to the vehicle. To use your SkyLine Towers # Y53TR with these tracks, you need the Yakima Landing Pad 1 # Y00221. This is the mount that fits directly into track systems and can be used with SkyLine or Control Towers.

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 DR Coupe
I recommend going with a Yakima Roof Track System for your 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 Dr Coupe. This track mounts directly to the roof of your Grand Prix with PlusNut hardware. • What are the Longest Crossbars You Carry to Mount Solar Panels on Tracks?
I think you are asking whether you can put 2 of the Thule Top Track System # THTP42 right next to each other in order to have a longer crossbar system. While this is technically possible, you will have the endcaps of the crossbars that interfere. With this interval of space, you will not have connection points at those areas for your solar panels. All that being said, it is better to get a longer crossbar with the tracks instead of putting two crossbars end-to-end. For that route, I recommend...

The Rhino-Rack Artificial Rain Gutters, # 739A, require a M6 bolt. The bolts that are included with the rain gutters are M6 x 25mm (6mm diameter and about 1 inch long). If you think you will need a longer bolt, you should be able to find one with the appropriate length at a local hardware store. Unfortunately Rhino-Rack does not offer longer bolts for this kit. Since you will be mounting these on an RV, there are a few things you will want to take into consideration. First, you will have...

This will then allow you to easily transfer the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR and whatever crossbars you are currently using, like the 50" JetStream # Y00425. Just be sure that the crossbars from your ARE camper shell don't stick out further than the side mirrors on your Jeep. I have attached installation instructions for you to check out.

If there is a space between them you wouldn't want to install just the two tracks per side as that wouldn't be fully secure.
