Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

To use the CargoBuckle ratcheting tie-down strap, first push back the security latches and connect the durable double-J hooks to the desired anchor points. Then stretch the strap over your cargo and secure the other hook to a point on the opposite side of your truck or trailer. Each hook has a wide opening, making it hassle-free to maneuver and attach the hooks to your anchor points.
Once the hooks are in place, tighten the nylon webbing around your gear. To tighten, crank the ratchet mechanism until the tie-down is taut around your load. Finally, after tightening the strap, ensure that the load is completely secure and then tie up any extra slack.

It works fine. I use this to secure a generator to the floor under the bench in my car trailer.
They don't seem to come loose unless I loosen them. I can't say that for the high-dollar Mac's straps that hold down the car! eTrailer doesn't sell Mac's. Good for eTrailer.
