This was just what I needed to make things a little easier for my two little old dogs. I have to admit, I'm enjoying the shorter steps up to my rig, and the landing area makes me feel much safer going in and out of the door with packages.

As it turns out, I could not use the left side rail and open the door. The etrailer rep worked with me to arrange the return. I have appreciated their professionalism and customer service throughout this purchase.

If I have one suggestion, it would be to make a version of these steps in white. The black absorbs the heat something fierce and I will definitely have to be mindful of taking the dogs up the stairs in the heat of the day.

by:

Had a rivet pull out of the third step. I had to remove it and secure it with a bolt and nut. I hope this is not a normal thing to do. Over all I think they will do what I need them to do. The packaging was very well done and there where minor scratches but over all A rating.

Very solid and secure stairs. I love the fact that they have the railings as well. They fit right up against my bus for easy access on and off.

by:

The product is great but the shipping quality was poor. The package arrived barely holding together and wrapped in tape to keep it from completely falling apart.

by:

Order arrive faster than expected, product is great, we bought 2 and they work as intended, sturdy and very good quality.

The product is very good still, we are using this on a Manufacturing environment for employees reach out at the some levels in the machines, they are working really good.

by:

Your product exceeds my expectations. I noticed that the box was damaged and partly open, but my daughter and I saw that all the parts and hardware were there. Very securely taped. We quickly put it all together. Great instructions. Sadly the last screws toward the top would not go in with out a fight. That's when we noticed the upper part on the right is bent, most likely in transit. We struggled and got them secure. I'm guessing the box was too heavy for one delivery person and was dropped. Tomorrow when the sun comes up, I'm going to see if they cracked my driveway. Other than that, your steps are very heavy duty and the instructions are easy to follow.

by:

Missing 2 long screws. The steps has 2 handrails. I received only 2 screws for one handrail. There is also a scratch on one of the step.

I will have Customer Service reach out to you. We do recommend using a Rust-Oleum paint on the scratches to prevent rusting.

by:

These stairs are very study and we love the no slip stairs. The yellow strip has partially come off the bottom stair already after a few months. Otherwise a very good product.

by:

Product arrived no damage, assembled steps and realized I was short two long bolts and nuts for the second railing I ordered, railing came but no bots to attach to stairs.
Stairs appear to be well made.

Works great, very sturdy

by:

Pretty happy with the stairs.
If they
were 3 inches wider and a little bit taller I'd have given it 4 stars. I had to utilize part of the stair system on the RV because the top step was too low without using part of that built-in step.

Other than that it's worked out great.

I really like having handrails on each side vs some of the other styles that are available.

Bought these steps to help making our destination trailer easier to get into. When I placed the order I was told they didn't have them but for an extra $14.00 I could have them direct shipped from the manufacturer. Did that. A few days later the steps minus 1 handrail arrived at our park mailroom. Package was damaged and looked to have been dragged there. Was mailed from Etrailer. Got the package home and opened it to find the steps were poorly packaged. The paint was scraped up in many places and the handrail was damaged. The bottom supports were scraped as if they had been used already. There were burrs on the rails that had to be filed so as to not cut your hand when using them. (the second rail direct shipped also had burrs on it). The non skid pads were put on improperly at the manufacturer so the steps look crooked. Contacted Etrailer about them and they said I could return them and they would ship new steps to me. I have to pay people to pick up and bring heavy packages to me so the cost of reprocessing the order wasn't worth it. Etrailer didn't offer to knock any money off the bill or make arrangements for a sight pick up. I am making the repairs myself. Wouldn't recommend the steps and I won't be doing any more business with Etrailer.

by:

The finished steps are good but not worth the price! The railings are not solid and no matter how tight I screw them down they sill move out when holding on to them. When the package arrived it was damaged and torn open on one corner and some bolts and nuts fell out. When I tried to unfold the steps to begin to put the braces on I had to use a crowbar and hammer as one end was pinched badly. Some bolts and nuts fell out of the box as it was delivered and until I unwrapped the last railing did I find a package of bolts and nuts. Thought there were none so bought new ones at the hardware store.. Also found that the steps where not wide enough to use on my primary trailer entrance so have to use. them on the other entrance.

by:

So, first off, I do not own a trailer. I did, however, have to replace a three-step set of treated wooden steps to our front porch. After measuring and parting out the job, with treated lumber I was left flabbergasted. In addition to the lack of required woodcraft I searched for another solution. I found it at etrailer.com. The unit arrived in fine shape and was standing solo in less than one hour. Today I removed the wooden steps, leveled the site and bolted the unit to our porch. He unit is solid and stable and has already triggered comments from he neighbors. (All good!)

The only not I could pick was a lack of screws and nuts for the second railing. No big deal as I had the appropriate hardware in the shop.

The not suggestion that I could offer would be to replace the slotted- and philips-head screws with hex-head bolts. Much easier to tighten safely.

Great product.

by:

Two of the rivet type connectors are defective; heads missing and do not connect the parts they were intended to connect. Not usable in current state.

by:

It went together without much problem. It looks like it should work just fine. I will install it on my 85 year old mothers RV the day after Christmas then I will know better

by:

Been the best step for getting in and out of our new hot tub. I would highly recommend this item.

by:

Bought this to be used on my hot tub it worked perfectly. Allows easy access to get in and out

by:

by:

by:

The Econo Porch Trailer Step w/ 2 Handrails and Landing - Triple - 7" Drop/Rise, 27-1/2" Tall # EHS-103-R-HR can be used as a back step. Because you will only be using one of the handrails, you may want # EHS-103-R to save that cost. You may be interested in the Stabil-Step Stabilizers # JSS-4, # JSS-7, or # JSS-85 for increased support. There is not a specific rail for the back of the stairs when used as you suggested, so you may want to consider adding a folding handrail like # AC-300...

  • What Threshold Height Will Work with the Econo Porch Trailer Steps
The Econo Porch Trailer Steps part # EHS-103-R-HR has a total step height of 27-1/2" which is measured from the ground to the top of the uppermost step. The total step height does not need to equal the threshold height of the camper but preferably close or slightly less. The difference between the two would be the rise/drop to the first step. I'm not sure why you're referencing the bumper but if you can explain this for me I'd be glad to try and clarify.
