Electrical problems are not uncommon at campgrounds, especially ones where wiring was originally installed decades ago. When a campground is full on a hot day and everyone is running their air conditioners, low voltage may cause a brown-out situation and damage your RV appliances.
Hughes Autoformers Voltage Boosters respond by automatically boosting voltage when low levels are detected. As voltage drops, electrical circuits respond by increasing amps. The booster converts the increased amps into volts to keep your connection strong. If volts drop below a usable threshold, it automatically cuts off power.

Has saved me at least 3 times this past year with low voltage and high resistance circuits at multiple parks, let’s me know if there is a problem as soon as plugged in, especially with open grounds
Unit works as describe. Glad to have this to protect the RV electrical system.
It works as expected. A couple of issues make it a less-than-perfect product.
1. The location and orientation of the outlet makes it easy for the cord to work loose. Admittedly a 50-amp cord is heavy but it needs a more positive connection.
2. Mine failed under warranty. They don't send a replacement but repair the one you send back. Problem is that it is heavy. As a full-time RVer, I don't keep old packaging "just in case" so returning it was a challenge.
An electrician friend and fellow RVer recommended this after we'd experienced a low voltage situation. The power supply line to our electrical feed had a fault that caused the low voltage. I have been very happy with this product. It gives me confidence every time I connect to power. I don't want to replace appliances or HVAC units due to shortened life as a result of power supply voltage issues.
This park...in the hottest history cut down all my shade and gives me 104 volts. The hughes box works fantastic! Arrived fast in perfect shape. Thankyou ... I have a.c. again and in Palm Springs....old 67 year old....is saving my life.

This unit works great! Our resort voltage drops down as low as 98 volts. That's hard on AC devices. This unit maintains a safe voltage no matter how little or how much current we are using. And it has built-in surge protection. Definitely worth the money!!!
Order was delivered days before anticipated. Products arrived exactly as expected. Easy installation I could do myself. Within 30 minutes had Autoformer installed within RV and all electric working properly. Thank you for the prompt response to my order. A year later, product still functioning properly.
Replaced Progressive device which constantly dropped out due to low supply voltage. Huges Autoformer instantly corrected that problem.

While I haven't had the opportunity to use this yet, I thought I would at least rate etrailer.com. First off, the price was cheaper than the big box website, enough so that I returned the unopened one from them so I could buy from etrailer. etrailer was easy to order from and was quick to ship/arrive. I received update emails throughout the process. I will use the Autoformer on my next trip and think it will do what it's designed to do. This booster is heavy, which I hadn't paid attention to but not so much that I can't handle it. Overall so far, very pleased with etrailer.
The education videos on the website sold me on the value of purchasing the Hughes booster and surge protector. I have been an an RV park when there was a major power drop and so this product will be a great peace of mind for the protection of our home. Thank you etrailer

Have not used but from other reviews it appears to be a quality piece of equipment. Great pricing and very fast shipping from etrailer. It often seems as if items have already shipped before the order is complete (LOL) as they are very fast.

The autoformer is working great. Gives good readings and comfort that the campground electrical is safe.
