Speaker 1: So, today we're taking a look at a cam lock from Camco. The key operated cam lock helps keep your belongings secure. This is ideal for new or replacement installations on gun cabinets, cash boxes, drawers, and RV storage compartments. It does come with one straight cam and one offset cam, so you can choose whatever one works best for your application. It comes with the lock body, comes with the installation nut, and it comes with two keys that are keyed alike.A few measurements that I want to go over with you real quick. You'll notice here on the back side of the cam, that we have a flat side on each side of the unit, and then if you rotate it, it has a threaded side on each side of the unit.
So from flat side to flat side, we have a measurement straight across, flat side to flat side of 5/8 of an inch. Threaded side to threaded side measures 3/4 of an inch. From the bottom of the lock head, so that's from the bottom of that portion there, to the back of this screw, gives us an overall depth of 7/8 of an inch. From the center of the screw head to the end of the flat cam is an inch and 1/4.Also installed, this one, it measures from the center of the screw head to the end of the offset cam, and that was 1 5/8 of an inch. And each cam has an overall width of 5/8 of an inch, and the lock head itself, this portion here, has a diameter of 7/8 of an inch.
Once installed, it's very easy to use and operate. Basically all you have to do is place a key in and rotate it to move it to the lock or the unlock position.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Camco cam lock.

Recently, a situation occurred that prompted me to get a much needed lock for it as soon as possible. The lock works great, and I thank you for the prompt deliver of only a few days. It's also nice that those locks can be ordered at specific lengths, as well as the cams. Thank you. Much appreciated!
I received my order on time. I was very happy that it fit perfectly and is now holding the door in place where the original lock was lost . I also ordered a reflector for a trailer it also fit perfectly and was installed in a few minutes along with the lock. Very happy with a phone call from Vanessa to check on the order soon after I put in a second order.
I ordered three of these locksets wanted to get them keyed alike figured I could take it down to the locksmith and get them keyed alike when I receive them they were all keyed alike . Installed easy. Also purchase the auto changeover propane regulator. Hooked up nice refrigerator works great now. Also great company to work with
I would assume are great. Quality looks great. Haven’t had a opportunity to put into use yet. But customer service was great in sending me 6 locks keyed alike. Would have been great to change the locks on the RV to get away from the very common 751 key locks that most RVs have but sold the RV before installed. Looking forward to the opportunity to use them. They don’t have a hole protector for road grime though.
Great replacement parts for my 1988 Palomino Colt Pop-Up Trailer. They're bigger than the originals but work just fine.
Bought this to change out my existing locks on two baggage doors that were the common keyed CH 751. It does not have a keyed-alike option, but I emailed customer service and requested that the both have the same key. Although they informed me that they couldn't guarantee they would both have the same key, they arrived with the same key. Glad to have the same key to open both doors that are not the common CH 751 key.
Cheaper than having a locksmith make keys for my gas doors on my trailer.
We haven't installed it yet however the service was fantastic. It looks like the one we are replacing so I'm sure it will work fine. Thank You
