modified sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using modified sine wave technology, it creates a stepped waveform that simulates AC power. This is perfect for resistive loads like electric heaters and toasters. Plus, the inverter can generate 450 starting watts and 225 running watts which is a great fit for smaller appliances.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 standard North American outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals with battery clamps that connect to your batteries, 12V DC adapter, USB port for charging small electronic devices, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately).

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage and overloading. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals use battery clamps that connect to your batteries or you can use the 12V DC adapter.

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the Go Power! 12 Volt 225 Watt Heavy Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter. Now, this inverter will convert DC battery power to AC household power wherever you go. It uses heavy duty modified sine wave inverter to offer the AC power. It's perfect for smaller loads, like portable electronics. It'll run any device in the wattage range without interference. It's all in a nice heavy duty steel case, has the two dual-standard outlets here, one USB port right up at the top. Does give you full overload protection.

It is compatible with 12 volt systems. The continuous output power is 225 watts, peak surge power is 450 watts. AC output voltage is 100 volts to 120 volts and the input voltage range is 10 and a half volts to 16 volts DC. The AC output wave form is a modified sine wave.Maximum efficiency is 80%, and the battery drain with no AC load is less than or equal to 0.7 amps. This includes everything here on the table.

It includes the inverter itself, the 12 volt DC plug-in cables, the DC inverter cables and a nice user's manual that will describe how to hook everything up and how to use it. The weight on this is about one pound.Last thing I want to do is give you some dimensions on it. The length, which will include the mounting bracket, so edge to edge, will be right at five and a quarter inches long. The width on it, it's going to be right at three and 13/16th of an inch wide. The depth of it is going to be right at two and 1/16th inches deep.

That should do it for the review on the Go Power! 12 Volt 225 Watt Heavy Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter.

  • Can Everchill RV Mini Refrigerator Wattage Operate With Solar System?
The Everchill RV Mini Refrigerator - 3.2 Cu Ft - 115V - Black # 324-000111 will have draw of 92 watts. You can use a solar panel, and a power inverter to allow this. I recommend the Go Power Portable Solar System with Digital Solar Controller - 130 Watt Solar Panel # 34282730. You can use the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 225 Watts - 12V # 34280173 for this and still have additional power.

  • Will Can Mini Everchill Refrigerator be Installed on Sea Ray Sundancer
The great thing about the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs # 324-000110 is that it is a universal design so you can definitely use it with your older Sea Ray Sundancer, just note the external dimensions of 17-1/2" wide x 17-3/4" deep x 19-1/2" tall so that you know it will fit. To get this to work with 12V power you just need an inverter. You can use the Go Power Inverter # 34280173 which is rated for 225 watts and then instead of using the alligator clips use the installation kit # 342GPDCKIT1...

  • Will A 12V DC to 110V AC Converter Run A Coffee Pot?
Using a 12V outlet like you mentioned, the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 225 Watts - 12V # 34280173 will not be able to run most residential coffee pots without issue. Coffee pots draw a lot of power like up to 600-1200 watts on average at start up with a Keurig being closer to 1,500 watts, so you will need a much larger power inverter to use your trailer battery to power that coffee maker. I recommend the Power Inverter 1000 Watts with Three AC Receptacles # WC3720...

  • Recommended Power Inverter for a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter
I have a few different options that will work well with your 2016 Mercedes Sprinter. Since both of your outlets are near the floor, I recommend using the Wagan Elite # WC2600. This power inverter is a little more heavy-duty, and has a cable that is 31-1/2 inches. This will give you the option to move the inverter around a little instead of it having to sit directly next to the outlet. Another option is the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 225 Watts - 12V # 34280173. I've...

  • Shore Power Battery Charging For Brake System & Accessories
You'll need to run the wires from the charger directly to your battery # HM20008. If it were my trailer, I would get a charger like this # BRW54FR because it's FREE energy!! This one is a trickle charger putting out about 7.5 watts which is good for any battery with 5 amp hours or more. It can go on the side of the trailer where your battery is so the wiring won't go from one end of the trailer to the next. It's also pretty low profile so it's not an eye sore. That being said, you should...
