Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Phoenix Faucets Catalina RV bathroom faucet. This Catalina Series faucet is going to let you upgrade your bathroom faucet in your RV or camper using the inlet shanks with the standard male NPSM connections. You're just gonna drop this new faucet in place through the mounting holes of your existing faucet. This is a two-hole installation and then you're just going to tighten down the included mounting hardware.
And then finally, connect the hot and cold water lines. The use of tub and tile caulk may be required, depending on your particular installation. If you do need that, the caulk does not come with this faucet. So, if you don't already have it, that would be a separate purchase for you. Now, this faucet features a dual handle design with lever style handles with one quarter turn cartridge stems that enable the faucet to fully turn on and off.
The washerless design reduces friction and daily wear for long-lasting durability. The low flow aerator is going to help conserve your water while you're soaping up your hands. The flow rate is 1.2 gallons per minute. And as you can see, this does feature this low arch spout with an oval base. Now, the distance from the countertop to the aerator is right at about 1 1/2 inches.
This is of a durable ABS plastic construction with this matte black finish and spin welded Celcon thermoplastic underbody. And I took some measurements earlier before our time together and I took those measurements just so you can be confident that this is going to work for you. Let's begin with the overall dimensions. The overall width, from the tip of the handle to the tip of the handle, we're sitting at about 9 1/2 inches wide. The overall height, we are sitting right at about 3 1/2 inches tall.
And then the overall depth, we are sitting right at about six inches deep. Now, looking at just the dimensions of the base itself, the width of this base is about 6 1/4 inches wide. And the depth of just the base, we're sitting at about 2 3/8 inches deep. And the spout length is right at about four inches long. Now, looking at our inlet shanks, the inner diameter is half an inch and the outer diameter is 13/16 of an inch. And the distance between our shanks, center to center is four inches and they're about two inches long. Instructions are included to walk you through the very simple installation process. All these years, everyone just looped the hose from bottom side connection; never was right! With this one, that problem just ended! Five-Star all the way around on this-one! Faucet looks nice but, the valves go from horizontal off position to vertical down on position & this is backwards from old faucet.The faucet is all plastic & my old Phoenix faucet was metal & had inner & outer threads that let me extend the 1 1/2" pipe threw wall that is one inch thick.when I used the supplied plastic pipe nuts I had no room to install 1/2"FIP hose.so the faucet is held on by two washers,an o-ring & the 1/2" FIP hose for now until I end up buying a real faucet.

I wish I could give this faucet 5 stars, but it's the usual chromed plastic type for RV's and not metal (preferably stainless steel) like residential faucets; unfortunately, the way my sink cabinet was built prevents using residential faucets. That being said, it's fairly well-made, very easy to install and reasonably priced. Of course, there's absolutely no reason why it couldn't have been made from stainless steel to last longer, except that they'll sell more because the plastic ones wear out.

I have just installed this faucet and it is a nice improvement from the factory faucet. Fairly simple to install but I had to remove my sink to reach the connections. Fortunately, all of the plumbing was plastic and easily removed and reinstalled. Also the sink fasteners were brackets with wing nuts.Time will tell if the new faucet holds up to a season of camping.

A nice upgrade to the original faucet. Fortunately our sink had a center hole for the hose to pass through.
Looks nice. My husband had to work with it a bit and take out a white plastic piece to give us decent water pressure. Before that it was just dripping. Also, the end piece (not sure what is called) couldn't be screwed on evenly. There is a small gap that is noticeable to me but not my husband.
Really nice up grade for trailer easy to install.

The style is much better than the original faucet. However, the plastic is a slight disappointment. Just installed it but haven't used it yet. Hopefully it will hold up. Shipping was quick.

The handle blew off last week after freezing temperatures and my camper was flooded!! We had to go to [local shop] and spend $xx for a new faucet and rent a shampoo cleaner to clean up the mess. Very disappointed in this product.

Looks really good, it’s still RV grade plastic stuff. At the end of the day really dressed up the bathroom with replacing the sink and tub faucets with the brushed nickel line.
