The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
Using the standard NPSM inlet shanks, slide the new valve and deck plate in place through the already existing mounting holes. Hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. The use of tub and tile caulk (not included) is required.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, the dual teacup handles, and a nice matte black finish. Now, this shower valve will let you upgrade your bathroom shower valve in your RV or camper. This one uses a top mount vacuum breaker, which allows you to attach a handheld shower set, which we sell separately on our website. This vacuum breaker will prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply.
You can see it is a nice dual handle design with the solid saber teacup style handles. Uses a quarter turn cartridge stem, which enables the faucet to turn on and off. And the cartridge is a washerless cartridge design, so it reduces friction and daily wear for long lasting durability. This is a nice non-metallic ABS plastic construction. You can see it is a nice matte black color.
And this is a wall-mount two-hole installation. You could see the inlet shanks right here on the back have the standard male NPSM connections. Does come with the mounting nuts you can see, on there already for installation. And also comes with the deck plate. They are all included.
Now, when you do install this, it will require some tile, tub and caulk, which is not included. You would have to purchase that separately. A few specs on this, we're gonna measure the distance between the inlet, center to center. See it's right at four inches. The inlet shank diameter, inner diameter is half an inch.
But again, just to show you, handles are a quarter of a turn. Has the vacuum breaker right at the top there. But that should do it for the review on this Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, the dual teacup handles, and a nice matte black finish..
