Troubleshooting Furrion AC Unite That Cools Well But Drips Everywhere

Question:

I purchased this AC from etrailer to replace a Coleman Mach 8. It cools very well, but it drips water into the interior of the RV. It is draining some on exterior but a bunch of water collects under insulated housing. There’s no seal around the fan. Is something missing on my unit?

The Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Furrion Setup - 15,000 Btu - Black # FR58PR does come with a gasket on the bottom of the unit to keep water from entering the vehicle. It sounds like either the drainage openings are clogged up or that gasket seal either wasn't placed correctly or has been damaged. I recommend checking the drainage openings first because condensation is definitely expected and ensuring those drains are open is what will keep water from backing up and entering your unit versus staying on the outside where the water can run off without damaging anything. A majority of the time, this is the issue and not the gasket however if this doesn't solve your issue then you will need to remove the unit and replace the gasket with the Camco Universal Fit RV Roof Air Conditioner Gasket Kit # CAM25071.
