Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Seaflo Black 13 15/16 of an inch wide by 23 7/8 of an inch tall Multi-Purpose Access Door. Now, this multi-purpose access door will allow easy, keyless access to a compartment that's on your boat or your RV, so this will be ideal for accessing control panels, valves, and wiring. If you noticed, it has the dual quarter turn recessed latches that'll turn independently, allow you to open the door, and as we mentioned, they are recessed, so they don't stick up anywhere. So once you open them quarter of a turn, both of them, it'll let the lid open, so it's an easy open hatch door, and you can see what's nice is that it will swing a full 180 degrees to give you plenty of room to reach your gear. The durable, water resistant synthetic fittings and the nice rubber seals will help keep your compartment dry when the door is closed, so when you do close that and lock it into place, those seals will help seal it.
It is a nice, low-profile hatch, it mounts flushed to the surface. The surface on it, I'm gonna zoom in to try to show you, if you look, it does have a nice non-skid surface to it, and this will help prevent slipping on it when you install it in the floor. And just to show you also the lid itself, if we flip it open, and if you look on the back of the lid, it uses a nice, heavy-duty support braces all around, and that's built in for extra strength, 'cause if you did use this on the floor and you did happen to step on it, still gives you a nice, strong support, won't damage it. It is a strong ABS plastic construction, does resist UV rays, road salts, and acids Now, the mounting hardware to install this is not included, you would have to supply that. Just to show you, if we open this up, if you look around the frame here, you can see the holes that are already drilled in it for installation, all you have to do is supply the hardware.
This is a nice black color. Now, this hatch also is available in the white color, we do sell that separately on our website, and it is listed on this product page as a related product. Last thing I wanna do is give you some dimensions on this, we're gonna do the external with the door closed. So if we do the external width, the external width, it's gonna be right at 13 15/16 of an inch, and if we do the external height, very bottom to the very top, it's gonna be right at 23 7/8 inches tall. And then we're gonna open it and we'll do the width and height, oops.
We'll do the width and height of the opening, so once you open this, we're gonna measure the width and height of the opening here. So if we do the width, will be right at 10 15/16 of an inch wide, the height is 20 5/8 of an inch tall. But again, you can just flip this down, rotate it a quarter of a turn, and that locks the door in place. But that should do it for the review on the Seaflo Black 13 15/16 of an inch wide by 23 7/8 of an inch tall Multi-Purpose Access Door..

This is exactly what I was looking for as part of my camper remodel. These doors are sturdy and they seal very well. I didn't want another key to get into a storage area of my camper. These latches are great and you can change the direction they close in so all the latches on both doors go in the same direction.
Don't for get to buy some sealant for when you install them.
