Need extra light to load and unload gear from a box truck or enclosed trailer after dark? Or perhaps you want to brighten your RV cargo compartment so you're able to see the gear in the very back? This mercury-free, lead-free light strip has white LEDs that give you bright light inside your trailer, RV, or garage.
LEDs are more energy efficient, last longer, and burn brighter than lights with incandescent bulbs. You won't have to worry about replacing bulbs that have brittle filaments. And because LEDs draw minimal power, the light won't drain your battery or overload your circuits.
This surface-mount light replaces an existing light or adds a new light for your RV, camper, or enclosed trailer or truck. Using hardware (not included), bolt the light down onto an interior wall of your RV or trailer. Drilling may or may not be required. The light wires to a dimmable or standard light switch inside your RV or trailer and hooks up to ground (white wire) and power (black wire).

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bright Ideas 12-inch LED Starter Strip Light. This light's going to provide bright light wherever you need it without taking up much space. It is a surface mount installation, meaning that it's going to mount directly to the surface of your mounting application. All the holes right here on the actual light, these are all considered mount holes. Those are going to be separated apart from one another, on center by one inch, and those around going to run the full length of the strip. The strip's going to contain 6 LEDs.
If we take a measurement of the actual length of the strip, we can see that's where we're going to get the 12 inch measurement from. Mounting hardware is not included. On this end, it's going to have the quick connect linking end, so you can link strips together. That way you can really customize the link that you want. The light is an LED system. Even though the light's not flexible, the wiring is.
They leave the wires apart from one another, that way you can wire them however you need them. It's a flexible wiring harness. This is designed for 12 volt electrical systems. It's going to use green technology, which means that it does not contain any mercury, it does not contain any lead, and it has a very low power consumption. The 6 white LEDs is only going to have a power draw of about 0.14 amps, and that's rated at 12 volts.
LEDs are just great to have. They last a long time, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. They don't produce as much heat as other light sources. We're going to and hook this up to our external power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting.
The 2 wire design is going to provide your power lead and a ground wire. You can see here that the light sends out a nice consistent signal. Really nice design, nice bright light. Again, this strip's going to contain 6 LEDs. That's going to do it for today's look at the Bright Ideas 12-inch LED Starter Strip Light.

Not too bright and not too dimm,(hmm, sounds like me)
i am remodeling an old airstream. I ordered some LED lights. To see if they would work. Well they will. I need to order more soon. Glad I found you.
