Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Gen Y Weld-On Receiver Tube. Now, this receiver tube allows you to fabricate your ow receiver hitch. The opening right here is designed for two inch hitch accessories, so it measures around 2 inches by 2 inches and it features a really heavy duty reinforced 3/4 inch steel collar for strength and durability. The receiver tube outside edge to outside edge square design and the measures about 3 inches by three inches and you can see the inner tube measures about 2 inches by 2 inches and that's just that opening measurement. Really nice welds on the unit. Made from steel.
It's a raw steel construction, so it's ready for welding.The product is made in the USA and it has a 16,000 pound rated capacity. That would be the gross trailer weight rating or the max load that this unit would be able to pull. Now, please keep in mind that the capacity really depends on how this unit is attached, so how good your welds are as well as to what it's attached to. So, just keep that in mind, but this unit itself is rated for 16,000 pounds. Capacity is dependent on a few other items in the equation.Now, the overall length, I measure from very front to very back.
The overall length measured right at five inches. Now, the pin hole is 5/8 inch in diameter. That's this pin hole here, so it will accept a 5/8 diameter pin or hitch lock. That's directly in the center, so from the center of that to the back of the unit should be 2.5 inches. As you can see there.
From the center to the front, 2.5 inches as well.That's going to do it for today's look at the Gen Y Weld-On Receiver Tube.

Well made receiver. It welded up nicely on a custom equipment trailer hitch I made for my C70

It seems fine, but unfortunately, I havent been able to use my trailer as of yet.
