Today we are going to review Part No. 2852. This is the draw tight 24" combo bar with the 2" x 2" hitch receiver opening. Now this 2" x 2" receiver bar is designed for use in fabricating under car receiver hitches when its receiver is not available. It is made of a cold form structural tubing. It is sized and punched to fit all common weight distribution hitch ball mounts or utility ball mounts.
It does have the 5/8" diameter hole in it. Now the other nice thing, this is a raw unpainted finish and that will help eliminate a lot of prep work that is required when welding this piece on, and again this is a 24" combo bar, so from the edge of the collar to the edge is right at 24". So that should do it for the review on Part No. 2852, the draw tight 24" combo bar with the 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver opening. .

I needed to extend the tongue of a 1200 lb. GVW equipment trailer I pulled behind an ATV. The short tongue caused problems backing when using a jeep. The short tongue let the trailer jack knife quickly and you don’t always have room on a trail to maneuver. Extending the tongue made backing easier also the trailer won’t hit or bind with the back of the tow vehicle as quickly. The Combo Bar with 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver - 24" Long I ordered let me switch to an articulating hitch as well as extending the tongue. I welded safety chain mounts on. Painted and installed on the trailer. Before anyone thinks using three ½” grade 8 bolts to install the extension, (= to 1 ½’ of pin dia.) is wrong. There is only a 5/8” pin holding a 10,000 lb. camp trailer to the receiver of your truck.
The trailer has the 1,200 lb. Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System from etrailer I put on two years ago, also very satisfied with.
It worked great. I installed it on my camper frame for a rear bike rack and a Tie point if I needed it.
You normally get a "5" star rating from me on purchases. You only got average"3" star due to slow delevery time

The part I originally ordered was apparently going to have a lead time, so he emailed me and told me about it. Then, he proactively sent a couple updates when their supplier got behind. When it was looking to be a bit behind schedule, he called and we switched the order to an in stock part.

I needed to have a rear hitch fabricated for my fifth-wheel trailer. I bought this part for the fabricator to use so that he didn't have to create a receiver tube with the correct dimensions and rolled-edge end (needed for my bike rack to mount properly). It worked perfectly. Note that you'll need to prime and paint it, or spray with a self-etching paint, to keep it from rusting.
Works well for our testing needs. We bought this to be able to mount a bicycle support (Yakima) to a bench for testing. It works well in our use.
Had it welded to my new (used) 5th wheel trailer for attaching an bicycle carrier. Worked fine for my 3,000 mile trip to Florida and back this past February.
I bought this to fabricate a receiver on the back of our travel trailer for our bicycle rack. I welded support to the sides of it and it bolted up to the TT frame. Works like a champ!
Great product and speedy delivery. This item will be used to get my travel trailer and/or boat further away from the back of my pickup so I can let my tailgate down without putting any dents into it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.....

works good for what i got it for. thank you.
The product came on time and is well built. Unfortunately I assumed it was an extension which would fit in my current 2" receiver but it is to large and will not fit into a 2" receiver. I am trying to figure out if I can use it in a different way. Maybe put a bar inside of it to allow it to connect to my current receiver.
Hard to find the 2 foot hitch tubing locally. Someone wants a hitch built. Ordered Friday delivery on Tuesday. Awesome! Ordered two d rings and qualified for free shipping. Will order and refer again. Thanks
Products are just fine, but what is outstanding is their customer service. I haven't been so impressed in years. We received emails and a phone call letting us know a part we had ordered was now backordered and how did we want to proceed. We received everything shortly thereafter. I will definitely go to them first for anything trailer related! Keep up the great work.
Great product, fits perfectly inside 2.5" receiver and fits perfectly to 2" inserts from attachments.
Needed to extend my hitch to place a platform on the rear of my RV and the hitch from eTrailer fit and works great.
Parts ordered look of good quality, but time will tell about durability....after reviewing many websites. I decided to order from etrailer, because it seems to me one is getting a quality product, at wholesale prices; but what ultimately made me decide to order from etrailer, was the DYI instructional product videos. These videos is what separates etrailer, from everyone else; and I couldn't have done my installs, without them.......THANKS etrailer.
