Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a hitch plate with pintle mount. This hitch plate features multiple pintle hook mounting positions as you can see here. It also has the two forged D-rings and the pre-punched hole that fits most trailer electrical connectors. This offers four pintle hook mounting positions, one, two, three, and four, so that's a five-hole design on each side. These holes are separated on center side to side by 3 3/8 inches. They're separated on center up and down by 1 3/4 inches.
And the D-rings are 5/8 of an inch thick. These are your connection points for safety chains or for recovery situations. The hitch plate is prefabricated and ready for use. The unit is made from a carbon steel construction, so it's extremely strong and durable. We're looking at a half-inch-thick hitch plate and it included the ICC bumper protection and overall it has a really nice black powder coated finish on it to resist rust and corrosion.This should be both welded and bolted to the vehicle frame.
We've got the two pre-drilled bolt holes here on the sides, so two on this side, two on this side. It fits GMC 4500 and C5500 four by four trucks, but you always check the vehicle or chassis owner manual before installing, and this is for use for cabin chassis trucks with a nominal 34-inch frame width. The maximum gross trailer weight rating is 20,000 pounds. I took a measurement from edge to edge, so from this point here to this point here is 62 1/2 inches long. That C-channel is three inches wide.
From very bottom to very top, so from here to here, it's about 22 inches tall, and then the outside length right here is 34 5/8 inches. End side to end side is 33 5/8 inches.That's gonna do it for today's look at the hitch plate with pintle mount.
