Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a hitch plate with pintle mount to fit GMC 4500 and C 5500 trucks. The hitch plate features multiple pintle hook mounting positions, so you can see the holes right here. It also has the two forged D-rings. Really nice connection points for your safety chains or for recovery situations, and it has the pre-punched hole right here that fits most trailer electrical connectors. That offers four pintle hook mounting positions. Again, you have one, two, three, four, five holes on each side so that offers a four-position mount.
The separation that we have between the holes, side to side, center on center. That's 3 and 3/8". Up and down, each one separated on center by 1 and 3/4", and the D-rings are 5/8 inch thick.The hitch plate is prefabricated, so it's ready for use. The unit is made from a durable carbon steel construction. Has really nice consistent welds on it.
This is a half inch thick plate, which includes the ICC bumper protection and it features a black, powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. Now, when installing, it should be both welded and bolted to the frame, so you have your pre-drilled bolt holes right here on the side mount. Two on each side. Again, this is designed to fit the GM 4500 and 5500. Please consult the vehicle or chassis owner manual before installing.
This unit is for use with cabin chassis trucks, with a normal 34" frame width.The maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 20,000 pounds on this unit. A few other measurements I want to mention for you. I did take a measurement of the overall length. I measure from edge to edge and got a measurement of about 62 3/8" long. The width of that bumper, it's a C-channel bumper, that's three inches wide outer edge to outer edge.
This portion right here, edge to edge, is 34 and 3/4" long, and then bottom to top, is 17" tall. That's gonna do it for today's look at the hitch plate with the pintle mount.
