Video Transcript for Review of Performance Tool Tools - Mini Pick and Hook Set - PT76VR

Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the mini hook and pick set. So this can be really handy for any kind of little meticulous job where you might need to poke through things or maybe pull some wiring out of an otherwise hard to get to spot. These are pretty nice and durable. They're made out of a glass reinforced nylon, so it's nothing that's going to be metal or cause any kind of scratches to stuff. So it'll be good for delicate areas, but they're still pretty durable. A lot of roof racks now use this kind of material and other accessories as well.

So it's just known for being a really long lasting, resilient product and should last you for many years. So let's take a closer look at what you actually get with these guys. There are going to be some different ends to these, so give you a different tool for different jobs. They are resistant to any kind of solvents. They're non-conductive, so you don't have to worry about any kind of wiring issues. Maybe you need to get some wiring fished out of place, or maybe you've got a fish wire that's going in that you can't really get to, or you got it lost.

This can help get in there and pull that back out, or really any job that you might have. So we'll have this fish hook shape, a classic hook with just a point on the other side, it's a little bit thicker point. We've got a much longer, more tapered point on this one with an angled off hook to it. And then lastly, we have another kind of angled off hook, but a little bit shorter than the other, you can see those side-by-side there. And then on the end of this, it's a shallow hook, so not quite as deep as this guy.So just some different options to help you get in any kind of delicate areas and connect things together, or get them fished out or whatever you need to do.That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the mini pick and hook set.

I hope this was helpful in deciding if this is the right set for you. We do have a lot of other tools and accessories and other parts for your wiring and trailer jobs. So if you need anything else, check us out right here at etrailer.com, and thanks for watching.

  • Help Removing Broken Key From Thule One-Key Lock Cylinders
With the key for the Thule One-Key System # TH450400 broke off inside the lock cylinder you will first need to remove the broken section of the key. This may need to be performed by a lock smith or you may be able to get the broken section of the key out using a small Pick Set # PT76VR. If are going to attempt to remove the piece yourself I recommend using some lube safe for lock cylinders as this will more easily allow the broken section to move through the tumblers.

  • Tips For Removing A Broken Key From A TowSmart Trailer Coupler Lock
We do have a few tips/tricks you can try, but removing a broken key from the TowSmart Trailer Coupler Lock # 3481213 is going to be tricky. First we recommend applying lubricant to the lock, so that parts can move more easily. If there is enough key left to grab on to, you may be able to pull if out with needle nose pliers. If not, some folks have had success just using a paper clip and wiggling the key out using the paperclip along the ridged side of the key. We also offer a Mini Pick...

  • Plugging In Tekonsha 4-Way Harness On a 2017 Ford Explorer With Single Connection Stuck In Plug
The factory harness on your 2017 Ford Explorer simply terminates into a end cap as the additional harness is not needed on every model. You will remove the harness from the end terminal to be able to install the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118540. Likely the connector has some moisture and dirt that has gotten into the connector causing it to stick and not want to remove from the harness. You will want to ensure the catch is disengaging from the connectors and slowly wiggle the connectors...

The LED Trailer Tail Light w/ Reflector for the Drivers Side # 328-003-85L and Passenger Side # 328-003-85 have small notches on the lens that hold it in place. A Pick Set # PT76VR will allow you to get behind the lens to pry the lens off of the tabs as seen in the image below. If your lens was sealed in place you may be able to pull some of the sealant away from the lens with a sharp razor or scraper designed for sealants. If the sealant or adhesive was used to secure the lens to the...

  • How To Remove Battery From 18 Volt Solera Rechargeable Awing Arms
I reached out to Lippert for help with their Solera 18V Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434730. While they do not have a video or instructions which address removing or installing the new Battery # LC387959 I was instructed the retainers holding in the battery clip in and out of the outer arm. If you are in a colder climate it is likely that the plastic clips are stiffer and may not want to easily be removed. A set of Picks # PT76VR will help you to get behind the clips and push them...
