Video Transcript for Performance Tool Wiring - Tools for Wiring - PTW80647 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Performance Tool Multi-Wedge Pride Tool Set. The Multi-Wedge Pride Tools are designed to gently remove dashboards, consoles and other items without causing damage. So it works really well to remove trim molding, bezels and various clips and fasteners. We have a really nice thin design with the flat ends. These are really good for working with delicate surfaces. So just to begin, you'll notice that we have a black set and we have an orange set.

The orange wedges are for soft prying. The black wedges are for hard prying. They're the exact same dimensions and styles except one is black, the other one's orange. So these two, or these four have a really nice thin design and flat ends. These are good for working with delicate surfaces and then these two have the round end which is good for thicker surfaces. Again, orange is for soft prying, black is for hard prying.

They're made from a durable, non-marring nylon to prevent scratching of painted and delicate surfaces. The small ones measure 5 inches long by 7/8 of an inch wide at the widest point. The longer ones measure 6 and 7/8 inches long by 1 inch wide at the widest point and then the round one, these measure 6 and 7/8 inch long and then edge to edge at the widest point is 2 inches wide. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Performance Tool Multi-Wedge Pride Tool Set.

A useful set of tools that helps remove trim pieces without marring the trim. It's a simple tool, but more sophisticated than the screw driver I used to use...

by:

Worked as advertised

by:

Very helpful in pulling off the trim in my car. Well worth the money so as to not damage the trim on a brand new car. There’s two different stiffnesses of each type of trim tool which gives a broad range of assistance.

by:

there just isn’t anything special about them. Also the video on how to install the products were top notch and made installation quick and easy. Under 20 minutes. Fantastic!

by:

These are handy, but I'm not confident how durable they'll be in the long term. I already bent the corner of one piece after the first use, but it was a tricky panel. The wide, rounded tool works really well though.

by:

Worked great, in the past I have used my fingers, a putty knife or a screwdriver. This was much easier to pop the interior panels off.

by:

Meets my need. Sturdy tools

by:

They work very well.

by:

Great tools for removing trim and an unbelievable price! Great value for the product. And fast delivery.

by:

made the job much easier!

  • How To Remove Trim From Furrion RV Microwave On a Riverside Retro 135 RV
There are a couple of different trim kits from Furrion but it sounds like you have the Kit # FMSM09SSTK which presses onto the brackets that attach to the microwave. This trim pulls off the front to gain access to the screws which hold the microwave in place. A Trim Wedge Kit # PTW80647 would aid in the removal. You can see in the video I linked near the bottom of the page how the kit presses into place and is held in the tabs. They also offer trim kits which are held in place with screws...

  • Recommended Replacement Roof Vent For An Airstream Flying Cloud 23D Travel Trailer
Yes, the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP is the same as the 690266-01 that's already in your Airstream. I recommend picking up some plastic trim panel tools like # PTW80647 to help pull up the old sealant without scratching up the roof. You'll want to use some butyl tape # AL28FJ around the mounting flange and some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 over the top of the flange to get a nice waterproof seal.
