The adapter chord connects the four-way round connector that'll mount on your RV to the four-way round connector that mounts on your tow vehicle.Comes with the two four-way round sockets that wire into your RV and your tow car. The mount will come with . Or, the sockets do come with the mounts for those sockets, and the mounting hardware to install them.Now, on your adapter chord here, it has the night-glow plugs on the end, which will light up when your tail lights on your RV are activated. What's night about that is when you plug it in, it'll confirm continuity of your tail light circuits, and since it lights up, it helps find your electrical connections in the dark.It is a coiled cable, which will stretch to fit your needs, and it keeps the wire from dragging on the ground. Includes (2) 4-pole sockets with mounting brackets.Just now installing the coil. Instructions are quite simple and easy to understand. Only thing I would mention is there are nuts and bolts to attach the plug adapter to the bracket.
the trailer connector is just what I need. have done business with etrailer in the past and will continue.
Product works as described and is still a great purchase even a year later.

Product was delivered in a timely manner. They were easy to install and fit my 2015 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. All pieces were reasonably priced and less expensive than if purchased separately.

Looked appropriate but was not needed, as it turned out I needed a 2 into 1 converter for the motor home which I ordered from etrailer, so I returned this item.
The product was satisfactory but the shipping that was expected turned into an additional 5 days beyond what was promised. Etrailer needs better service from their shipping provider.
This is a great cord for towing. The coil is quite strong and doesn't hang down when towing. It stretches easily enough for a straight run back to the toad, but not enough for a diagonal run, requiring repositioning of the plug socket on the back of the RV.
Excellent product. Made my life much easier when towing the Jeep behind the motor home. One quick plug in and the Jeep has power to the battery to run the brake controller, turn, running and brake lights.
Very happy with etrailer for the purchase of a Blue Ox tow bar with needed hook ups for lights, etc and an Air Force One Brake system for my 2018 F150. Crystal did a great job of comparing options and matching pricing from across the web. She offered free installation. The Installer, Shane was awesome, I wanted all hookups hidden by the front plate on the F150 when not towing, Shane came through and then some. Finally, the manager Robert was excellent on follow-up as we had some air leak once we got home. etrailer stood behind everything and follow was exceptional. Very pleased!
Good heavy duty product. Fits the plug on my RV and tow vehicle. It is nice to see it glow when I have a good connection.
While this cable is made well, it used an alternate pin-out for the brake signal which made it unusable in my application. It is also so tightly coiled that while it is technically long enough to connect from motorhome to towed vehicle there is far too much tension on the cable - risking a loss of connection (and the cable itself). Given the extreme tension and fact that the cable used molded connectors - it is not possible to correct the pin-out without shortening the cable further - so this one is on my junk pile.
This item was a replacement for the Roadmaster that was out of stock. It was less expensive and seems to work just fine connecting the toad and mh. At this point I am very satisfied with the service and the product.
works great, no problems so far. its ice i can look out back window and see the plug is glowing so i know my lights are working.
The glow coating started to crack and fall off exposing the wires right out of the package. The replacement was received after a 45 day road trip and we haven’t gone anywhere with it yest. The first was dry and brittle - this one seems much more pliable so we’ll see. Thanks for replacing it, just wish it had made it before we drove from NM to WA and back.thank goodness for duck tape

This set of sockets, mounts and cord are a good price from etrailer. Everything arrived in good condition a few days after placing the order.
I use this to hook up the lights on my tow car to my RV. I like the coiled cord instead of a straight one. The sockets are plastic, but seem well constructed. The contacts are not copper, but steel(?). Hope they don't corrode. I tried the hookup already and everything worked perfect. Naturally, you have to be careful to connect the individual wires to the right terminals. A diagram is included.
To be clear, this review is for the original cord, which must've had a defect in the jacket material, as it literally fell apart. The electrical connection worked fine. Just received a free replacement, (I had to pay return shipping) in a timely manner. We'll see if this one is better.
I'am in the process of setting up my 2017 Equinox to tow behind our motorhome. I've placed 4-orders with etrailer. So far I've installed the base plate, the wiring from the rear tail lights to the front end.I also received my Tow bar and the quick release parts. my next project is to install the invisi brake system. Description: Hopkins Nite-Glow Tow Bar 7-Way RV to 6-Way Extension Cord cable not really 8' as advertised; My trip last week had many safety problems with this, must stretch it beyond a reasonable tension to get 8' length; result does not stay properly seated in 7 pin plug on my motorhome.
Nicely packaged, it was easy to install. It being a yellow cord it should be easy to find, but the ends light with the lights of the rv on, so if I have to connect or disconnect in the dark it will help. Thank you e-trailer for the quick response and great customer service.
