Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here @etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a quick look at the Winter Road Safety Kit with Emergency LED Flare. This kit is really designed to give you a couple of tools to have in your car at all times, just in case the worst should happen and to get stuck somewhere. They're also going to be handy for just everyday use during the winter months. For instance, we'll have a cover for our windshield. It also has a couple of pockets to keep our mirrors from getting icy and snowy as well. You can stash your side mirrors in there and have those protected from the elements, has a couple of cords to go around and secure everything in place.
It's really easy to get installed on your vehicle, fits a lot of vehicles out there from, a little Toyota Camry up to a big Ford F-150.It can fit a lot of different things, you just have to play around with it to get it to fit right on your vehicle. That could also potentially work for all kinds of emergency situations should, heaven forbid, you ever have to use it. But you might be able to use as a little blanket or a tent or something like that. Do you ever knowThen, we'll also have our two skid plates. These are going to be the traction or grip track plates.
Those provide tractions, should your tires become stuck in the snow mud or sand. You just stick these underneath the tires, is it the front or rear tires It depends on what your drive axle is. If you have a front wheel drive, put them in front of your front wheel tires. Rear wheel drive, put them in front of your rear tires so that you can get the traction that you need.If you have an all-wheel drive, typically, you'll want to put it still in front of your front tires, just to get the traction going or really wherever you're stuck, it depends on the situation. But you get two of them, you got a lot of little spikes and grips and teeth to grab into the dirt, grab into the ice, grab into the snow, whatever you're having to deal with in that particular day and then also, a lot of grips on the top as well. They say that they're unbreakable, so should last for a long time.
They are flexible. Just playing with them, seeing if I can maybe snap them just here in my hands. Not trying too hard, but the fact that they do have some pliancy to them means that I think that they would probably do a great job. But anything that has flexibility like bamboo will be very strong. It should last for a long time for you. Nice, highly visible yellow, so last chance you're going to lose them out there or forget them on the road.
For our everyday use, we'll also have an ice scraper. Has a flat edge here for frost, it's even labeled, frost, and then on the other side, we'll have a more aggressive teeth for our ice. It's also labeled, ice, just to make it clear. The handle is going to be foam-wrapped, so it gives you some nice grip, makes it easier. If you don't have gloves on that day, it makes it a little bit more comfortable to hold on to and should do a pretty good job. Nice and compact. This guy is less than a foot long, about 11 and a quarter inch long and then about four and a half inches wide by about two inches deep.Definitely, something that can fit in a side pocket in your vehicle, really doesn't take up too much space. Then lastly, we'll have our emergency light. It's magnetic, also has a little hook, so you can hang it from a bumper hook, hang it from your windshield or from your rear view mirror. Really, wherever is handy.Put it against a ball mount against your car, somewhere it gets a metallic surface, it's magnetic. We'll have a couple of different functions for our light. Have just solid, have a rotating light and then a flashing SOS and then a little bit quicker, just beep or single flash and then a solid all the way around. So it gives us a couple options for that. That's going to be our Emergency LED Flair. That hook at the back does also swivel, so you can move that around. It should be able to move that around but it feels like it's going break it if I move it. I guess that just means that it swivels out this way, but it doesn't rotate around either.Anyway, it should be a long lasting light for you. If you ever need to change out the battery, just remove those two screws, they're just Phillips head screws and it should get you back out on the road. It should alert other drivers that you're in an emergency situation and you need a little assistance. Our grip tracks are going to measure 25 inches long by about eight inches wide, really more like, seven and three quarters and just about an inch or three quarters of an inch thick. A kit that's definitely handy to keep in your vehicle at all times, just in case because you never know what might happen out there on the road. But I hope this video is helpful in determining if this is going to be the right kit for you. If not, we do have a lot of other options available here @etrailer.com, and other options that include first aid kits and flares and other things like that. Definitely check them out, if you're interested. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.

Kit contains everything you need to stay safe on the road during the winter. Includes traction pads to get you out of the snow, a cover to keep your windshield clear of snow, an ice scraper, and an LED flare.Decent and cheap basic set of tools for a winter drive.
I've only used the windshield cover, which is basic but does the job and the ice scraper and snow brush, which also performed as needed.
The other items look solid and I'm sure will hold up when needed.
Haven't had time to try on the chains yet. Purchased as requirement for chain control. I have a Subaru and we're not suppose to put on chains. I believe this is low clearance and will use as last resort.
