Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Coghlan's Emergency Bag right here at etrailer. So you'll never know what will happen. Maybe you're just out hiking or maybe you're in your car, and you're just driving around, and something does happen. This is gonna be an emergency bag to keep you warm while you wait for rescuers.
So this is an aluminized bag that helps you retain 90% of your body heat. Very helpful for, let's say, snowing outside, you're gonna have that waterproof bag around you, or it's windy like this. Wind chill can be a big issue, so this helps you retain that body heat, helps you stay warm while you wait. So to get into the bag and to use it, just first unfold your bag. It's gonna be seven feet long, so plenty of height, especially for me.
What might be easier is just to scrunch it up all the way before getting in. There you go. Especially if it's windy like what we have today. And now you're covered. So the bag is windproof and waterproof.
You can see how we have a lot of wind around us, but on the inside, I'm actually kinda comfortable. Now remember, while this can help you retain body heat and prevent wind chill, this is not insulated. So you have to have your own body heat to generate heat, and make sure you don't lose it. So, you can reuse this, but it's gonna be hard since it's a bag, it retains air on the inside. So you just have to make sure you fold it up tightly from the bag's end, that way, all the air goes out.
So, something worth considering. So here it is, all rolled up as much as I could get it. So, our measurements will be a little bit off, but you will have about three and a quarter inches of width. And then for the height, five and a quarter inches, as long as you pulled down those top tabs, and that allows you to easily store it inside of the bag, like right over there. You can go into that pocket or you can even go into your side pocket. Whatever it is, the portability is important because you wanna carry it everywhere. So my personal thoughts about this is, I actually like this over an emergency blanket. It has the same material. It does the same thing. But having a bag, it's easier to crawl into than wrapping a blanket around you. So I would definitely have one or the other in my first aid kit, but if I got to choose, I would have this. Now, just make sure to carry it wherever you go because that's what happens in emergencies. You don't know what's gonna happen. And that was a look right here at our Coghlan's Emergency Bags here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline, and I hope you enjoy the journey..
