2006 Ford F-150 - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector

  • Trailer Hitch Wiring
  • 4 Flat
  • No Converter
  • CURT

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Ford F-150 with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind rear bumper
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector
  • Limited 1-year warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

It worked. I thought I was getting a harness that plugs into the main harness that y's off from the plug in the frame. Lucky for me the tail light side of the old harness still worked because all this does is plug into that. I could of done what this plug does for free and a little bit of solder.

I ordered in-line trailer electrical kit for my 2000 F150. After attempting to get the spliced lights to work for the umpteenth time, this kit worked awesome the 1st time. Unplugged the factory plugs, plugged this in and away I went. PLUS the kit had a really long lead which is always nice. Much better than anything I could find local ...and those didn't fit.

It rocks. You wouldnt believe the trouble I had in trying to get the generic ones to work in the past and they never did. I have never been so excited about a trailer wire..haha

It was a direct fit and everything works according. I plan to continue shopping with this company

by:
FordF-150

The product did everything it was supposed to do and was very easy to install on my F150. My existing factory installed harness left turn signal stopped working on my trailer; the problem was isolated to be the truck harness so I ordered this product. The only issue I have is minor; I wish the connector would fit in the factory installed bracket instead of swinging loose.

by:

I bought this product to run a hitch brake light or a led light bar under my tailgate. I currently am running a hitch light. Even though it says it is for trucks without factor hoolups it plugs right in to my truck with factory 7 way. The only problem I have is the wires are so long I ran them close to the hitch and then had to zip tie a least 1ft and a half of wire toghter.

by:

This was easy to install and youtube has a good video of how to do it. The only drawback is that it does not come with a connection to the trailer hitch. I guess they just want it to be dangling beneath the truck. I went to NAPA and got one for about $5 the added a couple nuts and bolts to finish the installation. This is so much easier than splicing wires.

Curt 56031 for a 2000 Ford F-150. Old factory connector was corroded and beyond repair.
Ordered late Monday night with 2 day shipping. Received midday Thursday . Took less than 5 minutes including cleaning my old plug off. Plugged in and zipped tied in place. Plugged trailer connector and had lights. Best money spent even with two day shipping cost. Left for the Outer Banks with boat on Friday. Hint- Used photo of my connector ends and matched to the Curt 4 way plug in photo.

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring for 2006 Ford F-150
If you are using the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, 7-Way # 118242 on your 2006 Ford F-150, that is most likely the issue. That harness only is compatible with models up to 2004. For your 2006 F-150, you will either use the 4 way # C56031 to give you a 4-way trailer connection or # 74682 if you are replacing a 7-way connector. If you wish to upgrade from a 4-way to a 7-way, then you will want the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185 and after connecting the...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2007 Ford F-150 STX Step Side
I have a solution for your 2007 Ford F-150 STX as long as it didn't come with a factory hitch, but the # 41004 is for much older trucks and would not be it. The Curt hitch part # C13365 would be a fit and work well on your truck. If you check out the install video I attached you can see on the truck quarter panel that it is an STX model as well. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch...

  • Parts Needed to Install 7-Way on 2003 Ford F-150 without Trailer Wiring
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # C56031. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885.
