Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the GSI Outdoors Pivot Spatula. So if you're an RVer or camper, you'll know that space is always at a premium. So this is going to give you a long handled spatula, kind of a turner for any of your stuff you might be trying to work with. It's going to save space by not having that super long handle. You can actually pivot it to make it more compact.
So just helps to keep down on space. It is safe to use on nonstick cookware and should be a pretty great accessory for any kind of kitchen. So let's take a look and talk a little bit more about the features. I'll give you some measurements towards the end, too. So right along one edge of the spatula, there's actually the cerated edge here, helps to cut up stuff. So maybe if you we're kind of in a hurry, when you prepped all your food, didn't completely get cut up, you can kind of saw into it with that, maybe if you're doing chicken or ground beef or something, you just want to kind of cut with that.
Maybe a piece of broccoli is a little bigger than you really want to put in your mouth around, whatever the case might be.The edges are also nice and tapered, so it should be able to get under stuff if you're doing flapjacks, eggs or anything else like that. It's made of nylon so it's going to be pretty weather resistant, easy to clean. The handle, easy to lock and unlock, just pivots around in place. You can lift up on this little tab back to make it a little bit easier to close that, but you don't have to. You can just kind of pivot it around without that. Now as far as measurements, total length here is about 10 and three-quarter inches when unfolded.
Then it's about two and a half inches wide and takes up about one and three-quarter inches of space there. Whenever we do fold it in, it's now about six and three-quarter inches long. So we've decreased that by about four inches. It weighs about an ounce and a half. Has a handle on the end make it easy to dry, kind of also gives you an option to hang this rather than having to find a spot to set it down because counter space can sometimes be pretty limited, especially if you're going to be cooking outside. That's pretty much all there is to it for our quick look at the GSI Outdoors Pivot Spatula.
I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right tool for you. We do have a lot of other stuff from GSI Outdoors, including all kinds of kitchen accessories and all kinds of stuff for RV'ing and more here at etrailer.com. So be sure to check it out and thanks for watching..
