LED Light Strip for Thule RV Awnings - Waterproof - 13' Long

Today, we're going to take a look at this 13 foot long waterproof LED light strip for the Thule RV awnings. This is a nice flexible light LED strip. Provides light inside or outside your RV. It comes with the high quality 3M tape on the back to let it stick to most surfaces. It gives off a nice warm white light, and I am going to demonstrate that light at the end of this video. We're going to hook it up to some 12 volt power to show you how bright it is.This is compatible with the Thule mounting rail part number TH306777, and it gives off about 60 power of LEDs every three feet.

Power consumption is 340 to 380 milliamps every three feet. Working voltage is 12 volts DC. This is suitable for outdoor usage, because it does meet the waterproof IP65 rating. It can also be used inside the vehicle to help create more light.Now, this LED strip can be cut to a desired length that you need in steps of two inches. When you cut it, you want to cut only between the dots on here.

Let me zoom in and we'll show you what we're talking about. If you look real close on there, you'll see the LEDs, but then you'll notice right here, there's four dots with a line through it. So, you can cut it right there. Or if you go two more inches, you can see there's another spot you can cut it. Go two more inches, you can cut it again.

So, every two inches you could cut it.Now, when you do cut it, you only cut between the dots on the line there and then just seal that cut off edge with either silicone or shrink wrap. So, what I'm going to do now is we're going to hook this up to some 12 volt power just so I can show you how bright it is. And it gives you the length of power wire at the end here is about three foot long. It has two wires, red for power, black for ground.So, we're going to go ahead, hook up our power, and then we'll go ahead and hook up our ground. And with both of those hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power.

In here you can see and you can just unroll with how much strip you need. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. So, you can see how it gives off a nice bright, warm light, and you can just run the strip along wherever you need to.And as we mentioned, you could trim it. And turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on this 13 foot long waterproof LED light strip for the Thule RV awnings.
