Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Kelty Feather Tent Stakes. Now I'm guessing the reason they call these the Feather Tent Stakes is because they are so light. These only weigh about .03 of a pound so altogether they're gonna be extremely lightweight, very easy to put in the included bag here, throw in your pack, so that as you're going hiking and that sort of thing, you'll have stakes on hand to help keep your shelter and tarps and other things in place. But it's not gonna add much weight at all onto your pack. So these stakes are right at 6 1/2 inches.

Gonna be just shy of 6 1/2 inches. We'll call it 6 3/8 of an inch long. So you can see there, probably about 3/8 of an inch thick. And you can see they do have that V pattern, so that's gonna help them to be structurally sound, but still able to be very sturdy as you put this into the ground. These are constructed of an aluminum so they are gonna resist rust and corrosion, and also be very, very lightweight.

You can see they are kind of a reflective orange color, so it should help us to keep track of them even if we're packing up at night, should be able to shine a flashlight around and see these. You are gonna get six of these stakes so it should be enough for all four corners, plus a couple extras for the front of your tent or something along those lines. But very, very lightweight, super easy to put together, (stakes clinking) put in the pack they include here. So you can just throw that whole thing in your pack. (velcro crinkling) Each one is going to have this paracord loop at the top, so it's gonna be how you're gonna attach it to your posts and that sort of thing because they don't have any built-in...

The hooks that are there, I don't think anything would hold onto that, so your best bet is gonna be going through that paracord loop (stakes clinking) to make sure that everything is going to be secured properly. So overall, like I said, it's gonna be a great option for those of you who are really concerned about weight, not putting a whole lot on your back. Of course, there's gonna be a lot that you have to carry, so every little thing adds up quickly. These are gonna be extremely lightweight, and still give you that option to help secure your structures down. So that's gonna complete our look for today.
