Hi everybody, my name is Andy, with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at Coghlan's Electric Water Pump with rechargeable battery. This electric pump is going to work on top of any standard size water cooler jug. And it's really going to help you prevent having to use wasteful one use water bottles, especially at your campsite. You just bring that water jug to your campsite or even to your next picnic, and you put this on top, and then this will conveniently pump water for you either to your water cup. And even if you wanna reuse the water bottle, or use it as a hand washing station as well.

So, there's many different ways in which you are able to use this pump. Let's take a closer look at it. Now, this pump charges with the included USB cable and the end that plugs into the pump is gonna be micro USB. And so, you just plug that into the top here, and then the other end of this cable is gonna be USB type A, and you can plug this into a battery pack. Maybe you have this port in your vehicle, a lot of smart phones will come with the charging brick that's a USB type A.

And so, you can plug that in and use that to conveniently charge your pump. By the way, this pump will charge, will dispense, rather, up to 30 gallons of water on a single charge. So, that kind of gives you an idea of how long a single charge will last you. This does come with this weather resistant nylon cover, and it's a very tight fit on there, very form-fitting. So, once you have it on there it's gonna stay on as an elastic band on the bottom to keep it into place.

And once you have this on, again, it is weather resistant but it will not make your pump waterproof. So, even though you may have this on, you wanna make sure that you do not leave it out in rain, or, anywhere where it's gonna be exposed to excessive moisture. But with this on, you still have access to the dispensing port here and also your charging port as well. Now, I'm gonna go ahead and take this cover off and show you how you can use this here. This does come with the spout that you are going to use to fill up your water bottle or your water bowls, things like that.

And it does come with a gasket as well to prevent leakage. So, you're just gonna put that in and that's gonna give you the ability to dispense your water. And then the hose here is 21 and three quarters inches long. You're gonna plug this into the bottom, let me give you a view of that, and then you'll put this on top of that water cooler jug and put that hose into the jug. And then it's going to be dispensing water through this hose and then out the spout. And again, the power button is right on top. So, I'm gonna go ahead and turn that on for you, I have a little bit of a charge on this. And so, that's how it's going to work. Let me go ahead and take this spout and this hose out and give you some measurements. Let's begin with that spout. The spout is gonna be sitting at, about four and seven eighths inches long. And then looking at the pump itself, take a look at the height. The height we're sitting right at five and a half inches tall. And as you can see, this pump is tapered, so it's gonna be wider at the bottom. And I'll give you the measurement here as close as I can get it on the bottom. We're sitting right at about three inches wide and taking into consideration the widest point there, about three inches. And then the top, see it's a little bit narrower, sitting right at about two and five eighths inches at the top. Now, we do have multiple other solutions to get water to your campsite or to your picnic. If you're looking for more of just a container that has a dispenser on it, you don't have to worry about a pump necessarily. I recommend taking a look at Coghlan's Expandable Water Carrier.
