Hello everybody, this is Jeff at Etrailer.com Today, we'll take a look at this Tecniq 45 degree waterproof Amber LED boat accent light. Now this LED light provides a nice bright Amber light for your boat. It's great for upgrading or replacing your accent lights your step lights, the walkway or underwater lighting. This one has a 45 degree angle design to it. So it offers downward facing light to illuminate the area below. This is a nice sealed waterproof housing and lens unit doesn't meet the IP 68 rating uses military grade construction of the circuit board and it uses urethane potting back here that offers better protection than the common epoxy potting.

It has a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens and it is a clear, high clarity lens. Over three Amber LEDs, so it'll provide a nice 180 degrees of linear lighting. The LEDs they use are premium LEDs, they're energy efficient long lasting and vibration resistant. Now this is a surface mount design and is designed to mount using a protective forty-five degree mounting cover which we do sell separately on our website here listed on this product page as a related product you can see it has a little angle cut at a 45 degree angle. So you can see when it's mounted it'll actually point downward just like that 45 degrees.

Now the hardware to install it is not included is does require two screws. This does hardwire to your application. The length of wire they give you is about seven inches has two separate wires of power to ground and it is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. We are going to hook this up to some 12 volt power to show how bright the light is. I want to first give you the dimensions of this light, the length of it.

One into the other it's 2 and 1/8 inches long. The height of it is 5/8's of an inch tall and the depth of it is also 5/8's of an inch. light output is 240 lumens input voltage nine volts to 14 volts and the power draw is .12 amps to .14 amps. So, we're going to do now we'll go ahead and hook up our ground and our power. Once we get those bolts hooked up gonna turn our 12 volt power on.

You'll be able to see there's your Amber lights. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and see how bright they are. And again they're designed to point downward, and again you can see it lights up a very large area. So what I want to do now is switch to a longer range. You can see how much area it lights up. And if we go back to the zoom in. So what we're going to do is go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights, turn off our power. That should do it for the review on this Tecniq 45 degree waterproof Amber LED boat accent light..
