Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this amber mini LED accent light. This is gonna provide a nice, bright amber light for your boats and docks, and it's gonna be great for upgrading or replacing your step, walkway, accent or courtesy lights. It does have a 45 degree angle to it. So, you can see up here at the top, we've got these plastic pieces that create that 45 degree angle.

So, it is going to offer a downward facing light to illuminate the area below. This does have a sealed waterproof polycarbonate housing and UV resistant lens unit that are going to have a IP rating of 68. So, it is gonna be great for your water adjacent areas like on your boat or on your dock. Because it is gonna be waterproof, you're gonna have to worry about water getting in there, causing any damage. As far as our measurements go, I'll turn the light off here so we can see this a little bit better.

Our overall width, we're just over an inch, about 1 1/8 of an inch wide. Our depth is right at a half inch. Then our thickness, we're looking at right about 3/8 of an inch. So, it is gonna be very small, but those three LEDs are a premium LED that are going to be very energy efficient, long-lasting and vibration resistant. They do provide that bright 120 lumens.

So, if I turn off the lights in my studio here, you can kind of see just how bright this is gonna be. Providing plenty of light for us. So, especially if this is just on the step, or walkway, or something along those lines, it's gonna be plenty of light for us to see where we're going even in the darkest night. This does have a clear high clarity lens that provides 180 degrees of linear lighting. It's got a military-grade circuit board construction.

Uses urethane potting. Offers a better protection than your common epoxy potting on other lights, so it is gonna hold up really well for you. This is designed for a surface mount installation. The cover can be added on, it is sold separately. That's gonna give it a nice, finished look. You are gonna need to provide your own hardware, that's not included either. It's got, requires two number 4 screws to get it held in place. The wire we're using here to get this connected, have about seven inches. You can see it is a two-wire system, so your black wire is going to be your ground, your yellow or amber wire is going to be your hot lead wire so connect that to power. This will hardwire right into your 12 volt DC systems. It's only gonna draw about .07 to .09 amps, so won't pull much power at all and will still provide that nice bright light for you.
