The drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style series base plate kit are supremely easy to mount and remove. Just insert them into the brackets and twist to lock them in place. To remove, simply twist the arms back and pull them out. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs, as well.

2009 Honda CR-V

Purchased a Stowmaster baseplate for my 2009 Honda CRV. The quality construction and welding on this base plate is superior! The engineering was excellent and the assembly fit perfectly! The installation instructions were very detailed and the color photos made the project easy and straight-forward!
Installation took about 2 hours but was not difficult.
Shipping was on time and quick!
Highly Recommend etrailer!!!!

2007 Honda CR-V

Installed this base plate on my 2007 CR-V today. Instructions were clear and very helpful. Had to drill out two holes through frame to install longer bolts. Only caution here is when trying to torque these two bolts , the hollow frame channel will begin to deform before torque spec is reached. Hope the Loctite holds!

Items arrived well packaged and intact on date specified. Information for installation beyond manufacturers brochure available on website.

Honda

I purchased this hitch to go on my 2009 Honda crv, I found a video on youtube that showed how to mount it. I took my time but still had it mounted in 2 hours. I also like that I can remove the receiver very easily when I am at home or on the road. This is much better than having a dolly that you have to move around by hand. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to pull their toad all wheels down.

Still works great, I wish I had purchased it sooner.

by:

This hitch installed on our 2007 CRV easily and has worked great over the past year. Installation was completed by myself with no other hands. I did block up one side of the hitch with wood to the approximate height to aid in mounting the other side. Vehicle back end was raised via car ramps. All mounting holes lined up fine. The associated brake & tail light wiring kit made wiring easy as well.

by:

Excellent product, fit perfectly. The instructions were "on the money." It was obvious that the towbar baseplate was custom made for this car. Everything slid right into place without having to "man handle" any of it.

by:
2008 Honda CR-V

Manufacturer sent the tow bar quick disconnects w/o the backing plates and bolting materials. After contacting etrailer customer service, they jumped on it and quickly got the missing pieces shipped. This was not etrailer's oversight but they got it resolved promptly. Thanks etrailer!!

Roadmaster

I couldn't be happier with my Roadmaster. The ease of hooking up and disconnecting, the sturdiness of the device. We are 3/4 timers in the RV and notice NO wear and tear. Fantastic! Worth every penny!

by:

The instructions were good and the passenger side of the base plate fit perfectly, but the driver's side did not. Had to 'drill out' the holes on the top and the inside, because the pre drilled holes we off about 1/8 inch. This misfit resulted in a lot longer to complete the project.

by:

Excellent products, shipped as promised and arrived on time. I have installed all the products. Although it took me longer then a professional installer, I had little to no issues. The online installation videos for all the parts (which were attached to the online order status sheet) made it extremely easy to install. The videos were of a professional actually installing the equipment step by step. etrailer.com has a customer for life.

2010 Honda CR-V

Instructions were very good for the installation on my 2010 Honda CRV. Fit and finish were good. Product arrived as promised. Minimal tools were needed, but installation with the vehicle on the garage concrete floor was probably a little more tedious than that on a lift. I would say that you do need some mechanical talents to do this on your own.

by:

Base plate was complete with all needed parts, instructions were complete and easy to follow. The tow bar works great, and can hardly be seen , when not used. Would buy another if ever needed.

by:
2011 Honda CR-V

I am truly impressed with the folks at etrailer. I felt like the personnel were completely committed to helping me make an informed and smart choice. The tutorials regarding the product were very helpful and informative. I have nothing but praises for etrailer and I will soon order the tow bar that will fit on my recently ordered tow bar base plate. I will HIGHLY recommend etrailer to family and friends.

by:
2011 Honda CR-V

It looked like it was going to easy to install but the base plate holes didn't match up with the auto holes. I had to do a lot of enlarging of holes. Once it was installed I had a lot of trouble putting the car back together.

by:

This backing plate for my CRV was exactly as described and the instructions were well laid out and clear. The job went smoothly without a hitch. Great product.

by:

Took my time installing this and the instructions were very helpful.
I viewed the YouTube video, made notes, gained confidence and felt prepared.
Everything went well and the hardest part of the process was replacing the plastic fasteners in the fender well and the screws at the bottom of the fender.
The product appears to be good quality and fit better than expected.
Excellent communication and support.

Thank You

2007 Honda CR-V

Shipping and delivery was very fast. I had to enlarge a few of the holes on the brackets because they did not line up to the holes on the front of my 2007 CRV. That was the only thing that did not go smoothly. It was not a big deal, just took a little extra time to enlarge the holes with a Dremel tool. Other than that, great product.

Product was exactly as specified in the ad and fit perfectly on my 2010 Honda CRV. Instructions were right on and easy to follow.

Yes, the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 will work with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # RM-521559-4 on a 2007 Honda CR-V. That said, you will need the Replacement Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly part # 910021-00 if you don't already have this. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2011 Honda CR-V With a 2000 Winnebago and a Stowmaster 5000 Tow Bar
There are 5 basic components that you need to flat tow your 2011 Honda CR-V. You need a tow bar like the Stowmaster 5000 that you purchased, base plates, safety cables, light kit and a supplemental braking system. You should also check your owners manual of your CR-V for any specific towing procedures that must be followed like pulling fuses or adding a lube pump. The base plates available for your CR-V are RoadMaster part # RM-521559-4. Next you need the towbar. You have selected RoadMaster part # RM-501.
