Yakima also had no information on what hardware would be used as a replacement. I recommend taking what you have to the local hardware store to make sure you get the right size replacement nuts and bolts.

  I spoke with a representative of Yakima, and they told me that they did not use a lock nut or any type of Loc-Tite on the Yakima Rack and Roll, # Y08106 coupler, so it is likely just oxidization causing the problem. If an impact wrench and cheater bar have not worked, you may want to soak it in penetrating oil for 15 minutes and try applying heat to the area around the nut to get it to expand.
