I recently Ordered the Saris Bones 2-bike rack and recommended window straps. The glass hatch straps I ordered were not readily available (out of stock), so etrailer called me and recommended a pair of Yakima straps/hooks that would fit as well (same price). I accepted, and within 3 days I got my bike rack and straps. The rack installed quickly and fit great (see picture). Great customer service, selection, and follow-up. Thanks again ,al.

I have been searching for a stable bike carrier for my Hyundai Elantra 5-door hatchback for several years. I finally found the Superjoe Pro 2 with these glass hatch hook adapters. I couldn't be happier!
If you have a hatchback you have to get these with the SuperJoe Pro 2. Great combination.

Well, my order was delivered so fast I think I went back in time. Seriously, it was like a day and a half before my UPS driver was ringing my doorbell, and I even asked him what he was delivering before remembering about my Yakima order. I haven't opened the box yet to ensure that everything is there, and if not I'll be posting again. But I'm guessing, based on the efficiency of order fulfillment, that the order is complete. You folks are setting a high bar; your competitors will hate you.

I ordered an extra set of these Glass Hatch Hook Adapters since my 2008 CR-V requires them for attaching the bike rack to the top and bottom of the hatch. Used them once so far. Worked like a charm. An ingenious solution to the idiosyncratic hatch of the CR-V.

Hi, M.H.,I dont have time to go back through the steps and see why I decided I needed the adaptors, but I know my first impression was like yours, but then, after trial and error, I concluded I couldnt use the metal hooks without a problem, whether it was closing the hatch or damaging the metal or paint, etc. And youll definitely need the adaptors for securing the rack to the bottom of the hatch. The reason for the purchase was that the rubber part of my strapes cracked and broke into halves, so they wouldn't work. I bought 2 new ones and one has held up great but the other is become destorted and probably will end up doing the same as the ones I had before before too long. I would take a pic but I just put my rack back on my car a couple of days ago.
I have a 2 bike rack. I usually only carry my bike, but the past 3 years I have at times carried 2. I think the extra pressure might be what is causing this to happen.

My wife and I purchased the Yakima Kingjoe Pro 2 bike rack for our 2010 Honda CRV and it works great. We did purchase an extra pair of glass hatch adapters to make it easier to secure the rack to the hatch back of the vehicle. It's easy to mount and fits our vehicle like a glove. It's an excellent value for this quality rack and we would recommend it to anyone.
