Do I Need Glass Hatch Hook Adapters With the Yakima HangOut2 on 2012 Honda Crosstour

Are glass hatch hook adpaters required to install a Yakima Hangout2 on a 2012 Honda Crosstour?

No, The Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack part # Y02637 does not require the use of glass hatch hook adapters part # Y02612 on the 2012 Honda Crosstour. I confirmed with Yakima that the glass hatch hook adapters are needed with the "Joe" series Yakima trunk mount racks. The HangOut has an anchor mode that flips the hooks so they fit behind the hatch and act as an anchor.

The Yakima HangOut does not come with the steel-inforced security strap to secure the rack to your trunk. That strap is part # Y02623 if you need it. I also recommend Yakima Same Key System Cable lock part # Y07233 with the lock cylinder part # Y07202 to lock the bikes to the rack if you need it.
